Meh. I'll probably make a tauren now.

The organizations was almost all disbanded by the time females and tauren were allowed to train and become druids. The basic idea of Druid of the Wild is an ingame explanation to why druids in-game can utilize all forms.

Actually, there are numerous Druids of the Tild residing at Mount Hyjal (and some in Feralas, too, which includes a tauren), both tauren and night elf, both male and female. One of the most notable (and fan-favorite) examples is Thisalee Crow.

Sure, it's Cataclysm content, but I'm not fond of the idea that a fairly large group of druids just suddenly appeared at a place just a day after Deathwing pops up again. Especially since the Shrine itself has been there since shortly after Aviana's "death" sometime during the War of the Ancients. Not to mention that people consistently argue that it takes expansive time and effort and training in order to do many of the druid abilities, including transformations. If that's true, without having trained prior to Cataclysm how could these individuals be fairly powerful?

I have a sneaky suspicion that a lot regarding druids has been subjected and perpetuated by various communities' fanon.
It's mentioned during the Flight Form questline that druid organizations is a thing of the past and that he wants to pass on the knowledge of the Talon to you the player. In the questline you meet a female member of the group and I think it has been said that females could become druids but it's exceedingly rare.

As for the power-level of druids, I say it again. Blizzard wrote that time in the Emerald Dream work differently so a druid can spend a few hours in there but have experienced a lifetime.

Hyperbolic Time Chamber?

I forgot to reply to this... Esthria has more... Sinister plans, rather than befriending a troll.

You mean the Druids of the Talon, alone, are a sect that, until WoW, were only able to turn into their flight form?
'Cause if that's so, then I'd imagine their new other forms are incredibly weaker.
