Maybe I'm remembering this wrong, and it was instead a handy rule in other servers, but didn't CotH used to have a lime limit for OOC area/s ? Like if you've been in there for a certain amount of time and NOT buying gear or using the portals you'd either be ported away and monitored 'till you RP or get kicked? Because I remember when I was here long ago it was hard not to find RP, it was everywhere ):

Well I don't think that's a rule that should be brought back. Sure it seems fine, but your basically forcing people to rp when some don't want to, but would like to talk to others on the server.

That sounds like the worst rule to ever be invented for any RP server. If I don't feel like RPing and instead I just feel like talking with X in the OOCC till some kind of RP occassion comes out.. I don't see any reason why not. And I am not a fan of having a GM on my back waiting till I go RP more or less forced. OOCC was made for people not to spend so much time OOC (on GM Island) Onyxia's role in all this is to annoy people but it doesn't seem to work very well. However, that rule would simply be dictatorship and would just lead to member lose in my opinion, if someone doesn't want to RP you can't force them, find something else to do meanwhile. That's what I do when there's no RP, I just go check youtube or sit AFK in OOC, maybe socialize, some RP will eventually pop up. Maybe you guys are too worried about this that you even overreact, but this is my honest and personal opinion.
TL;TR: That rule would just lead to frustration and more stress, also more work for the GM team, not something nice at all. Find something to do if there's no RP or just socialize in the OOCC, we don't bite. More or less I agree with Kage.

I think Onyxia should shoot everyone with Fireballs every 20 minutes! I like /rude at Onyxia but everyone gets annoyed lol. If Onyxia was supposed to be annoying. . . It's not. . . Just the Fireball thing. . .

I don't really care whether or not the rule is in or not, the only thing that makes me sad is how nine-tenths of the server is usually in OOCC and doesn't want to RP ever unless it's apparantly an event. I'm all for "rather talk than RP", sometimes I do it too but you have to keep in mind CotH is a RP server and lots of times, most times, people come on looking for RP and then Hyjal.
They go to ask in Hyjal for RP then they're either denied RP (as in no one wants to) or a quick discussion about what/where the RP is about and then nothing happens. Yes a few times I have asked for RP and gotten it, but also the same amount of times I've asked about it and it was completely ignored. As if I'm invisible. Now, as a RPer that annoys me. It's one thing to decline someone's offer for RP but another thing to ignore the subject completely.
As a side note, that was never a rule.

It boils my blood when people ignore me when I ask for an RP. They could say it is closed, in :4LookingForGroup but instead when I get to (ie.Barrens) I ask in General they ignore me then I have to whisper and then they say it's closed.
