are they requierd to play?

because im very excited and im getting impatient.
alothough it hasnt been taking as long to update
as it has to install.
i wanna play nowwww haha

im just wondering if they are required because if they are not
then i will update when i get off. instead of waiting.

im only at 8%
its been maybe 15-20 mins since the updates started.

Yes. You have to be at 2.4.3, if you check the front page there is a note on the current patch version on the server.
