Alignment: Chaotic Neutral - She doesn't care for laws or moral codes, but is not inherently evil; simply dedicated to the Forsaken.

Personality: Loyal, strong minded and furiously dedicated to her cause, Cyria is excellently suited for the militaristic lifestyle of a Dark Ranger. Cruel and dispassionate but firstly obedient, Cyria is the perfect agent for infiltration and assassination. Completely devoted to the cause of the Forsaken and her Banshee Queen, Cyria is firstly loyal to her race before anyone (or thing) else.

When around those she trusts (and who are not her outranking officers) she is more friendly. Sarcasm becomes a primary trait of her personality, and she enjoys jokes and humour, although it is often at the expense of others.

She sees herself as an elite being, and is rather arrogant. Completely confident in her abilities, she often comes off as full of herself to others. This, however, is partially an act for her own benefit. The huge amount of dramatic events in her recent (un)life have caused her to be somewhat unsure of her place in the world.

History: An eldest child born in the lush eternal spring of Eversong Woods to a mother and father of Farstriders, Cyria lived happily for her childhood. From an early age she trained with a bow in the forests, learning survival and marksmanship, and eventually picking up the minor Druidism characteristic for the Elven Ranger, natural talent and dedication to please her parents causing her to quickly become proficient in combat and the art of fletching. After many years of training with her family, Cyria travelled to Silvermoon city and became one of the Farstriders, her skill and loyal nature quickly rising her up the ranks.

Cyria often travelled to Alliance settlements such as Capital City and Stormwind and took a natural liking to Humans; appreciating their willpower and determination despite their short lives. She would often accompany caravans through the then-peaceful lands of Eastern Kingdoms and grew to appreciate the Alliance of their races.

Thirty years ago, Cyria was staying in Stormwind for around a month to help train a friend's son who was to become a fletcher. It was but a week or so in to her stay that the Dark Portal was opened. The report reached Stormwind mere hours before the Orcish horde did, and Cyria rushed to help defend the city. She slew many Orcs with her deadly arrows and even took on one or two in close quarters, the Alliance successfully fending off the Orcish Horde for the first wave of attacks.

The temporary equilibrium was not to last, however, and the Horde's rampage through Azeroth took it's toll on the populace of Stormwind. Fear grasped at the hearts of the noble Alliance, and as the newly invigorated Horde tore through Stormwind to the heart of the city; the keep. The great fortress was no match to the battle hungry green-skins and fell to the Horde. King Llane is slain and the Human kingdom of Stormwind descends in to turmoil. Anduin Lothar announces the loss of Azeroth and Cyria could do nothing but retreat with the Humans across the Great Sea toward Lordaeron.

After the one sided destruction of Stormwind, Cyria stayed in Lordaeron while the seven kingdoms (as well as Dwarves, Gnomes and High Elves) made discussion with Lothar. She helped tend to the wounded as best she could with her somewhat limited skill in non-magical healing.

Cyria was quick to join the newly found Alliance of Lordaeron, she travelled back to Quel'thalas to rejoin with the High Elven army. Rumours of the ancient Dwarven fortress, Grim Batol, being occupied by the Dragonmaw clan and even breeding Dragons. The winged beasts were thought to be a legend by anyone she had knew, and the rumours excited her, but also struck anxiety deep inside her.

Marching on Khaz Modan with the High Elven rangers and meeting with the Dwarven and Human armies, Cyria was quickly thrown in to the thick of fighting. Her unfamiliarity with the terrain and her lack of recent practice in tracking led her to simply play a role as an archer, not using her Druidic powers to their full extent. While she remained mostly unharmed (a scuffle with a sneaky Goblin earned her a nice slash down her right eye) she felt she did too little to stem the tides of the Orcish Horde, despite the Alliance's victory in the conflict.

Returning to Quel'thalas, Cyria lived with her parents for a fairly eventful few years. Still taking part in patrols, she relished the short lived peace in which she could spend time with her family. However, this was not to last. News of the Scourge's encroachment on the Elf Gates quickly reached her squadron and she hastily armed herself and set out to combat the Undead horde with the rest of her group.

She first saw the Scourge as they conquered the second gate. Fear gripped her but she fought on despite it, caring more for the peace and prosperity of her homeland than her own self. While she performed as well as she could have done, the comparatively weak Farstriders stood no chance against the waves of mindless Undead and she could do nothing but fall back.

Her retreat to Silvermoon did not go as planned. Being caught off guard by a Nerubian shadow-caster, she quickly fell; her arrows doing nothing against the thick hides of the arachnid monsters. Her breathless body thrown in to a rolling meat wagon along with other fallen Elves, she was carried only a few more miles before being thrown off of the rolling siege engine.

Her spirit was tore in to two. Her body left behind but feeling only agony, Cyria rose again as a spiritual slave to the Scourge. Having enough control to be self-aware of the horrific crimes she committed against her own kind, the next few days were utter torment to her and left only hatred, bitterness and a need for retribution against not only the Scourge, but Arthas himself.

Over the rest of the Scourge's rampage through Quel'thalas, Cyria damaged her own kind on the quest to restore Kel'thuzad's bones to unlife.

Cyria unwillingly served the Scourge as they made their way back to Lordaeron, her personality being twisted and torn apart by the atrocities she was being forced to commit. When Arthas decreed that he would honour Ner'zhul by wiping out all life in Lordaeron, Cyria was one of the banshees led by Sylvanas to lay waste to the remaining villages in the area.

As the powers of the Lich King waned, so did his control over Sylvanas and her banshees. While the pain of her misdoings was lesser - she had lost most if not all of her empathy and mercy – she still despised serving the Lich King.

Not long before Sylvanas attempted to slay Arthas, Cyria regained her mortal form once again. While her body had not gone as far as to lose flesh in it's decay, her skin was permanently wispy and white, her hair ruined and her features gaunt and horrifying. Now blood red eyes shone in the place of blue and she was quick to join the Banshee Queen in her vanquish of Varimathras the Nathrezim, helped by the posession of Mug'thol, Blackthorn and the Murloc Lord.

As the dust settled in the newly dubbed Plaguelands, so did Cyria. Her once peaceful and naturalistic personality had already been reversed, and so became her powers. She did not lose the physical skill she gained in life, but she could no longer access her Druidic powers. Following the teachings of the Banshee Queen she trained herself in dark magic to supplement her abilities. She picked them up quickly, finding it remarkably natural to access the powers.

Serving her Queen from the blight-ridden lands controlled by Forsaken, Cyria served as a defensive unit. They say that offence is the best defence. She served mostly as an assassin, removing high ranking Scarlets and the newly freed Undead who were traitorous.

The Dark Portal reopened, but Cyria was more interested in the Blood Elven inclusion to the Horde. Many mixed feelings plagued her, but eventually she decided that she was no longer an Elf, but a Forsaken. She was happy about the alliance as she still felt some connection to their kind especially after the fel intake; seeing this as rather comparable to her undeath.

As the Horde and the Alliance began to move in to Northrend, so too did Cyria. Accompanying the Hand of Vengeance in to Dragonblight, Cyria served as she did in Lordaeron; as an assassin, infiltrator and scout.

Cyria saw her fair share of combat in Northrend. With the Hand of Vengeance working on the new plague and the Warsong Offensive pushing in to Icecrown, she had plenty of time to attack the Scourge. And she did. Her new necromantic powers and hatred for Arthas and his servants gave her new energy to slay the Scourge in droves.

Cyria never went to Icecrown and thus was not present at the Wrathgate. She did not care for the hundreds killed by the plague, though felt smug in her theory that the Apothecaries were traitorous scum. Soon followed the death of Arthas and rejoice throughout Azeroth,

Cyria felt surprisingly hollow and unfulfilled. Why had the death of the Lich King and the defeat of the Scourge not filled her with contentedness and happiness? She is still not decided on this matter to this day.

Pulled back to Lordaeron as Varian Wrynn assaulted the Undercity, Cyria served generically as a simple soldier. She somewhat regrets the lack of proper organization or preparation she had before retaking the city.

To this day she has stayed in Lordaeron, carrying out service in the name of the Banshee Queen.

Cyria was the name of a hunter of mine on Retail. In my mind's eye, this character will forever be a bowslinging ginger Scottish cyclops with anger management issues.

But that aside . . .

THE KING IS DEAD, LONG LIVE THE QUEEN!
Your signature perfectly captured my reaction to

Approved! I'll send you a PM when the account/character is ready!
Holy moly. Thanks, Kretol!
DARK RANGER! YESSSS!
Also, let me know if you need a real version of a weapon.
This model doesn't want to seem to keep the hood/cloak. Feel free to experiment with .addrp hoods/cloaks, and once you find appropriate ones I can give real versions of them.
Could I get 'Ancient Bone Bow'? ID: 218680.

I can get the cloak and hood just fine from .lo rp, so no need to worry about that.

--Actually, don't worry about it. I'll pick up the heirloom version. All good here - thanks for the help!
