This is a patch in the sense that you are adding an extra file, not in the sense that it's actually changing anything. It's sort of like adding an extra .DLL file in a way... if other servers aren't specifically looking for that file, there shouldn't be any problem with having it installed as it doesn't alter any existing file in any sort of way.

However, if there is a server that you go to that requires a similar file type, then it'd be best to take Kretol's advice and put it in a folder in that directory so that you could find it easier again when switching between the other said server and CoTH.

This patch doesn't really have any custom content, it's utilizing existing models and makes it so you can see what has been spawned, rather than let's say, putting a custom sign that says "Rensin is awesome" on the side of a building.

Which they should totally implement. I know I'd totally put a custom patch in to see that every day when I log on.
I'd spraypaint vulgarities over top of it... and derail this post all at once. JK i'm done now.
Well, that was easy to install and if it opens more possibilities.. Great! Progress, advancement, science!

..This was a triumph, I'm making a note here; huge success..
Gameobjects like in Valias Airbase? (whoever built it, very good job.) I was kind of confused of what Kretol meant by gameobjects.

Gameobjects are objects which can be spawned by GMs. What people don't usually know is that there is actually not as many as people would expect and is generally hard to find things to fit something perfectly. This patch gives us the capabilities to spawn more for you all to play in (as long as you have the patch to be able to see them).

Hate to ressurect this but wouldn't that mean making and texturing your own models, coding it so it works as a gameobject or item, then importing it into the database?

Seems like a ton of work.
