Well, usually I'm the one who starts rp. I tend to make the party nowadays simply so I can get some rp. I never liked having to go ask others if I could join, cause half the time there's no answer, a quarter of it is no, 20% is maybe, but we're kinda doing something, and the remaining is a yes. Will I say no to people? Never. Even if I don't like the character and don't want to rp with them, I still bring them in, because I always figure I'm wrong and just looking at the character in a wrong angle. Worst thing people can do? Say no because they don't 'like' the character. Give em a chance, and at least give them rp, cause it sucks to have no rp to begin with.

And on another note, don't bother telling me character names on another character, my memory is horrid. Sorry if I don't remember, but I rp with -a lot- of people now, which surprises me more then anything. I didn't think I'd end up being known. I'll pop on now and then and get people randomly saying "Krest!" It's quite.. It kinda feels good. But, I still can't get much rp sometimes. Who knows, maybe this topic itself has brought people out to get more rp, and the more who read this will start to open themselves rp wise, and probably (Hopefully) say yes.
Probably should have elaborated on the matter of closed RP, though; of that I can easily agree with, as I've personally always had an issue joining RP. I'm kinda on the same page as Rensin I suppose, magnified somewhat due to my tendency to play less than socially overt characters. I tend to like hanging in the back, but more often than not that ends up with me hanging in the back a few buildings away while everyone else decides to shove out, heh.

Really my only RP has been RP in which I am running the events, or RP in an event where it's hard not to interact with others, a la Kidnapped. I completely understand the idea of being excluded though, and I've had to wrestle with that a lot in these last few months as I've tried to figure out exactly what I want to -do- on the server apart from being an event runner.

Kinda a subject for another time I suppose, since I could talk on this for a while, but I understand how it factors in.
