Conquest of the Horde

Hope no one yells at me for this.
So...am I to understand that everyone but a few that the GM's deem 'worthy' are being reduced to visitor/peon status to have to re-earn their vouches, even the ones of us that have been here for months?
Everything is being wiped, everything is changing, and we all have to start from scratch?
Just...curious...
