Quote: The final festival of the common Harvest traditions, Hallow's End marks the end of the dying year, that passes into reincarnation, and of communion with the honored dead. The shorter days are noted, as the masculine sun 'dies', while the moon--ever brighter this season, though aging herself--mourns him, until he returns to full glory in Spring.

It is also said the veil between the Here and After is thinning...

-Historian Ezra Zachery Miles, Royal Library of Stormwind
from Humanity's Holidays, Festivals, and Sabbats, a minor note in Humanity's history keeping.

The year is getting colder, the sun is darkening as Azeroth turns on its axis, the wind caresses empty tree branches in a rattling cacophony against glass panes. And it's time to celebrate! Time to honor the dead (that stay dead), the gathered harvest from the fields, and praise the Crone and her wisdom at the end of life.

All Alliance are invited to Duskwood to witness traditional humanity at its finest and eeriest. Costumes are welcome! Recommended colors are black, orange, and white.

Events

[Image: Hallow%27s_End_icon.png] An open feast will be available to all! The Harvest Witches that recently joined the Alliance have put together their efforts through the months since Gilneas' joining to offer gourds, meats, grains, oats, and...of course, pumpkins.

[Image: Hallow%27s_End_icon.png] Special divination particular to this holiday!

[Image: Hallow%27s_End_icon.png] Bobbing for apples!

[Image: Hallow%27s_End_icon.png] Throw old worries and burdens into the bonfire!

[Image: Hallow%27s_End_icon.png] Pop Goes the Pumpkin! Are your dart throwing skills good enough to win some treats? Other games abound as well!

[Image: Hallow%27s_End_icon.png] ...Was that a ghost you just saw?

All of this will be throughout the day on October 31st. I will likely start at about 12:00pm ST. I also need a favor from participants! Please send me a forum PM or IM on Skype about your character's dead family or loved ones. And I mean dead, not undead. Who would you like to see them get a glimpse of?

See you there!

Big thanks to @Maulbane for the kitties.

Gonna do my best to show up on crone Merete despite the akward timing for me.
Baw, wish I could attend. Between two tests, friends, and a halloween party I'm going to be too busy. Still, good luck!

And you other people who lurk on the forums, don't just talk about it, show up! Don't be me!

Except for Winter's Veil, being Dwarven.
Lunar Festival is Kal'dorei-ish.

So yeah, no one today. Everyone's out having Halloween fun! As such I'm postponing this to this weekend. Not sure on the day yet.

Happy Halloween!
