It's been a little over two months, possibly three, since I've moved to a new location. On the outskirts of a town, a tranquil location with a nice lake view in the backyard. A house with a basement and a deck, uncommon in the county and state I reside in. Beauteous nature and wildlife come flocking in and out. As wondrous as this may be for my senses, it is the thorn in my side.

Why?

My previous internet service provider does not do business in the area. The only available services are satellite with limited data packages.

I've always been perturbed by this fact, but never been extremely angry about it. Until now.

Here is what I'm going through.

If the connection is at the most, doing 'excellent' I will have a 3-5 second delay on messages. Then about a few minutes later, the server has disconnected me without booting me off. I cannot log off or exit out unless I do it manually by clicking the X button.
If the connection is okay, I will be able to send one or two delayed messages. Then the server will kick me off again without my knowledge and I will have to exit out again.
If the connection is unstable, I will be able to log in, but cannot send anything because as soon as I got on, I was booted off by the connection.

Skype is my only saving grace, since it's not a game.

I really, really miss in-game. I know I'm missing out on things there, but the weather and the connection won't let me have fun with any of you.

And even out of game, I can't enjoy my video browsing since nothing will load unless the connection is excellent.

<3 You guys, even if you don't know me. I watch the forums intently. I admire people. Hush, hush.

It sucks to not be able to RP at all - you still have skype until you can get better internet. I'd recommend asking around the community to see if there are any people on CotH who regularly RP on skype and are open to new players. Maybe on the official coth skype channel or making a thread in off-topic about it. And if you're willing to venture outside of the WoW setting there might be more options.

If skype RP isn't for you, the most I can say is that we'll welcome you back when you return with the ability to RP in-game.

Also, that being said, it sounds like you've moved to a really great location; lakes are great for nature-watching.
I'm so envious of your new living location. One of my biggest wishes is to be able to wake up and look through my window, only to encounter the glimmering surface of a lake. Mmm.. It's probably perfectly quiet there, as well! You should try and enjoy the remark until you manage to get your internet stabilized.

Other than that, welcome back, and we should definitely roleplay when you do return!

This place is pretty cool, but I would enjoy it more with stable internet. :L

Thanks for the suggestions though! I'll probably set up a thread or something when I have time to do so. /Busy Sundays

...Oh boy. 3:

I envy you so much.
Don't be. There are much livelier and lovelier places.
Meanwhile, I encountered tech difficulties with my laptop. I can't get it to connect with my WiFi. Nothing is working. :c
Dead for now.
