seriously. Orcs, trolls and tauren I can get and all, what with their love of wolves and WC 3 stuffs, but goblins? Draenei?

I've seen some decent fanon on it, that shaman "switch places with a spirit guide" rather than truly transform, but as far as all tangible evidence goes, with rockbiter buffs and one's classification becoming "beast," everything points to a transformation.
So, is it related to Goldrinn/Lo'Gosh? Its nature magic; how does it differ from druid transformation? If it IS related to Goldrinn, why can shaman handle mimicing the worg form without losing themselves to savagery as druids do?

Why is the ghost wolf form yellow/brown if Goldrinn is white?

If Goblins are businessmen shaman rather than wisemen, typically speaking, then how do they get such a power?

And why would Draenei shaman turn into ghost wolves? Is it ultimately a placeholder, like Druid travel form?

How do you RP this caveat of the class?

serious answer: The WoW Shaman class is a combination of MANY classes from WC3 and lore. Orc Shamans, Spiritwalkers, Shadow Hunters, Witch Doctors, Far Seers, and more are all crammed into this.

To put it simply: other races should not and do not have access to the more nuanced Horde elements of the Shaman class. Draenei are said to mostly be elementalists in lore; Dwarf Shaman are essentially gryphon riders. You can use your imagination to possibly explain the ghost wolves as something else IC, but really... don't tackle it. Save it for the orcs/trolls/tauren.
