Conquest of the Horde

You might notice that everything from the original post is gone, well now why have I gone and done that? That's right guys, I made you spend countless hours in trying to figure stuff out only to have your plans ruined- Except that's not what happened. I'm actually redoing the post due to suggestions that the community has given to me and realizations I have made. Let me explain to you what's going to happen next;

1. Race Specific mount lists as follows

- Humans/Worgens
- Dwarves
- Night Elves
- Gnomes
- Draenei
- Orc
- Forsaken
- Tauren
- Troll
- Blood Elf
- Goblin
- Misc*

* Means that I'm unsure on which race the mount 'belongs' to or should be placed in, thus I'm leaving that list open for discussion what race(s) the mount should be added to.

2. Mounts will be repeated throughout the lists, and some might be questionable for why they're in the list or in that race.

- Repeated mounts (Let's say the Pinto is on both the BElf list and the Human list.) will be marked in red.

- Questionable mounts (Perhaps they don't belong in that race's list, or on the list at all.) will be marked in blue.

- Repeated Mounts that are questionable (Goblin Trike is available for multiple races, but I feel as if it shouldn't be.) will be marked in purple.

3. Where should the mounts be located at, there's not a ton of space left on GMI for vendors to be added. Especially if we're talking about adding multiple ones!


4. "Player A has a reason to ride Race B's mount." These lists are not set in stone, if your character legitimately has a reason to ride a differing mount then by all means go ahead. I'm just putting them into lists so it doesn't have to be sorted out later.

5. "The mount that my character would ride isn't on this list, why?" I can't include every single mount onto the list, some just don't really have a reason to be available to everyone. (EX. Ashes of Al'ar.) If you really want a mount for your character then contact a GM in game or using the forums.



- This is on the right side of the building on GMI if you're facing it's entrance.

If anything I wrote is hard to understand then please do let me know so I can clarify/better explain that way the mount vendors can be accessed easier by us players.

Nice list! The Sunreaver Dragonhawk for BElves is probably the one I most wish was available without the rep, as I can see it being somewhat normal to have. The rep for the other racial mounts aren't too troubling since a lot of it can be gotten with the starter quests.

I wish they had bat mounts. It's the same model as the wind rider pretty much, and both Trolls and Forsaken could easily justify it. Why Blizz never just added it is beyond me XD Maybe with Vol'jin in charge.

I'm fairly sure that all worg mounts are added to the Worg Mount vendor in Orgrimmar, Raptors to the Raptor vendor, etc. So, that would be a fairly large waste of time to get all that stuff and add it to one vendor. Maybe Kret could just put all the vendors somewhere on GMI, although the 'where' part's a fairly large question.

Honestly, a few of the more unique yet still understandable mounts, like camels or dragonhawks, would be a nice addition.

Should make the Goblin Trikes and the Undead Horses avaliable to Alliance too.

Also, don't BElves historically also have horses? Shouldn't they have access to pintos and such?

Goblin Trikes I can see working; But I'm not sure on the reasoning behind the Undead horses to the Alliance? Deathknights have several mounts already no? I mean, I can see them working as addition to them, but not quite so much for the rest of the races/classes. (Perhaps the NPC's/mounts can just be worked and say, the Undead horses unlocked for all DK's/Horde.)

Blood elf Paladins have a horse mount I believe, reckon it can't be too far of a stretch that other members of the race wish to learn to ride horses.

Other than the Quel'dorei steed, it wouldn't be nonsensical for Blood Elves to have access to horses. I don't see them losing touch with the Alliance and going "AHHH NOOO, NOT OUR PONIIIIES! I guess we're stuck with chickadees." If you like the idea of independent ranchers, I guess .

If Ally DKs want a Forsaken style horse, there's Baron Rivendare's mount

But yes I'd like to see the mount vendors return.

Was he even added to the Mount Vendor? I remember grinding Stratholme for that a while back and didn't get a drop. Not even Runeblade... > : (

When the LK server used Onyxia's lair he was on the vendor. It was removed when we changed OOCs to Shatterspear.
