I'd hazard a guess that it's because they check through them when they can, so you may be waiting for a short while before you get an answer. Give it time.
You just need to give it time. The staff can get busy so they handle them when they get a chance and if anything is wrong with it, they will probably let you know in some fashion.
One thing we do take into account with everything else when it comes to introductions is patience.
