Hey,

I wanted to ask if you could help me out here: I recently moved to a hostel or a dormitory (the building that looks like the apartment building where all the students live who are too far away from the school.), not sure how they are called in English but I think that's close enough. Anyway, the internet server here is protected by a firewall that wont allow me to connect out of the server and although I have asked them to get rid of it they haven't yet so I wanted to ask if there is a way around the firewall so I could play WoW, but if there is no way around it then it just means that i can get online every 2nd weekend when i visit my parents :P :(
Well, considering that a firewall is made to block unknown in and outgoing network connection attempts, I think you're a bit out of luck. There's no way I know of to circumvent it unless you know how to do so, or have access to the firewall yourself. It should however be really easy for the ones who manage the firewall to allow WoW through, as well as the updater if you want it to. It's rarely a bigger issue than to just open the port that WoW connects through. It's somewhere on the official site under "firewall issues" in case you're wondering.
