Conquest of the Horde

Hey there,

As Nostra said in my character profile (Xalcavias Gontau), someone else HAS been playing Conquest of the Horde on my IP address. There's two computers in my house, and there's an intranet (or whatever you call it when two computers share a network and/or IP address) between them. He plans to write an introduction of his own and create his own account so we can RP together in-game on different computers, but he's been on my account in all. That is, if my account ever gets unbanned, I will RP with him.

Maybe that's why my account was banned? I'm pretty sure he wasn't doing anything against the rules and policies, but at this point, I'm probably thinking that's what happened.

Maybe he can post for verification?

Thank you...

Vaelkor.
We did have two trolls making a big mess in the general channels yesterday. You might want to confront your friend to ask if he did anything unusual, that would get the whole issue cleared a lot quicker I'd reckon.
Has your friend made an introduction already and gotten a PM saying it was denied? That also results in an IP ban nowadays, due to some serious abuse in the past, at least as I understand it. If they haven't made any sort of introduction before, then I don't know.
No, he hasn't made an introduction or anything yet, I just let him play on my account for a little while whilst I was away; he says he didn't do anything, just hung out in Ratchet and RP'd with that Grey Company guild.

If he -did- do something, does that mean -this-, -my own- account is banned?
I received no explanation for the following:

I don't take these lightly.
Actually Kretol, I noticed that before the Safe Fall was bugged, sometimes whenever I jumped off a high cliff with it, when I landed I got a speed hack report.

Not sure if these guys were rogues or not, but it -could- be an explanation.

On Rorbin? Notice the huge difference, though:

Indeed it was! And I actually only jumped twice.

EDIT: Forgot to add: Good point.
I also got kicked for 'speed hacking' a while back after I jumped from a cliff and blinked.
Well, going 100 as opposed to 13 is a pretty huge distance, so, I think you're okay.

If you were hacking it'd be pretty catchable, like that. *Wink*
Holy shit...

How?

How'd he go so fast? Is that even possible in WoW?

Well...it seems at this point that there's nothing I can do to resolve this.

I mean, I did not do this. But, the GM's and Administrative decisions are final, I suppose.

I'd do anything to be unbanned, since Conquest of the Horde is a gem server in a pile of a million Insta-80 communities. But, I have no disrespect for administrative positions, so very well.

I'm sorry if this caused any damage to your community. If I could fix it, I would immediately. But, my account is banned permanently at this point, so good day.

Note: If you want to speak with this friend of mine, I'll bring him on ASAP.
Hm, I'm not sure it's the fact you have two accounts from the same IP address. As I've a similar situation (A month or two ago I disappeared, in reality I had made a new account to try and see how willing grunts and GMs were to RP with little bitty peons).

As Kretol has shown, your character displayed some sort of hacking-like behavior. Perhaps try remembering any bugs you encountered, anything that seemed off during your play on CotH.
I don't know any bugs that could have made my character have hack-like behaviors, I wasn't playing at that time.

Some bugs I have seen when -I- was playing, were...

- Invisible creatures attack you and you die nearly immediately.

- When you go to your corpse after dying, you resurrect, but your character model is still a ghost-thing and it goes faster than when you are alive and normal, but the world outside appears as colored, not as if you are in the ghost world. This has happened repeatedly and it was really annoying because I couldn't see any of my character's items equipped; I just log out and log back in when it happens.

- The Barber Shop is bugged; when it said it costs 12 silver to get a haircut and hair coloring, it took away approximately 2 gold and 29 silver. Probably some visual problems.

- If you jump off of a Zeppelin from the back, you float in the air for a second; but if you turn or move, it sends you zooming at the ground and it kills you as if there was extremely high gravity. I only did this because I got on the wrong airship at Grom'gol Base Camp, and I didn't want to miss the other one.

- I think this one is easily explainable, pressing a bunch of keys at once sends you back to your Hearth-Stone location. Probably binded a key to it and then pressed it, but I'm not sure.
