First and foremost: Tell us about yourself, as a player:
I'm a 20 year old college graduate who's been RPing for years, in many styles and mediums (Tabletop, LARPs, online games and forums…). I enjoy kayaking, long walks on the beach, and the conquest of third world countries.

What country do you come from? What is your primary language?:
I'm from the North East U.S., born and raised in the English of the region.

How did you get into Warcraft?:
I'm been around Warcraft long enough to know why Orcs gave up on spear-throwers; I've commanded my Elvish Destroyers to many victories over the clumsy Dreadnaughts, and...uh, well, really missed out on the adventures of Arthas and friends.

What made you seek our server over others?:
I love storytelling and RP; after an intense Google search, this server seemed to offer that more than any other.

What kinds of roleplay do you enjoy?:
My favorite roleplays are Band of Brothers or Fellowship of the Ring inspired; small to medium groups of people struggling against a seemingly implacable foe. It doesn't have to be a Grand Epic Journey on which the Fate of the World Depends. A group of explorers fighting against the cold and starvation, front line ground-pounders in a siege, the everyman as much as the Hero can be fun, if the people involved are willing to try.

I also enjoy, if there's good people to plot against, to play an Evil Mastermind.

What is your favorite race/class? Why?:
I don't have a major preference among the races, I usually prefer either Warrior or Rogue as they have the adaptability of character and the feel of the regular person in the fantastic world trying to get by. Sometimes, a Paladin can be fun, providing a little variety and more of a challenge to work within the needed frame of a ‘Warrior of the Light'.

What are your expectations of this server?:
Open roleplay opportunities without emphasis on grinding and leveling.

Out of all of our rules and regulations listed on our server, which appeals to you the most?:
Not for the specifics, but the implications of, the jail rule; the idea that all your decisions will have consequences, many of which are not good, and must be taken into consideration before acting.

Lastly, tell us a story! It can be short, it can be long; but most importantly, we want to see your work in action. Go!:

Miksu idly traced his finger across the still-itching cog tattoo on his forearm, trying to ignore the sweat beading on his forehead and general ache brought on by lying on the uneven ground. Shifting slightly, he is stopped from moving further by the scowl of Dilune, one of the veterans in the group. Rolling his eyes, Miksu sighed quietly, resigned to more hours than he cared to count of uncomfortable, overheated waiting, until he noticed a dust cloud on the horizon. Only a few moments later, foreshadowed by the gleam of plate and the creak of wood and leather, the convoy rounded the bend in the road.

A heavily armored carriage, drawn by six similarly clad draft horses, rumbled down the road. The armed escort trudged alongside, waving mayflies from their faces, helmets tied to belts in the sun. Slowly, the pay coach and squad of guards approached the trap.

Hidden in the tall grasses along the roadside, the Defias gang members began to pull masks up, prime and check their muskets. Miksu's hands were shaking as he secured his flint in its seat, feeling the rough material stick to his sweaty face, watching as the cart drew ever nearer to him. He took a moment to reflect, to smell the earth, listen to the creak and groan of the carriage, the terrific buzz of the June bugs in the grass, hoping that these sounds would cover the pounding of his heart, the smells masking the stink of his sweat, before the scene shattered.

A pillar of earth, driven up by a Goblin-designed mine, shattered the tracings and harnesses of the carriage. The two rear horses shrieked as their maimed rear legs collapsed, the front four horses bolted, trampling a young guardsmen unfortunate enough to be in the path. The rest of the squad stood, stunned, unsure of what to do, as a man in dull, dirtied leather stood on from the grass and fired a gun. Soon, two other plumes of thick powder smoke announced where other ambushers had fired from.

As the Stormwind infantry began to assemble, moving towards the musket fire, Dilune stood, on the opposite side of the road from the first three, and fired in the rear of their ranks. As he dropped and scrambled away from his position, Miksu leapt, shouldering his own firearm. Sighting down his barrel, ht squeezed the trigger in haste, dropping hammer against steel into the flash pan. Nearly a full second went by before the rest of the powder lit, bucking the heavy gun into his shoulder, a great cloud of grey smoke hiding the road from his vision.

Like Dilune before him, he dropped to the ground, hands and knees tearing at the ground as he moved away from where he fired. The third man on his side repeated the process, another ball of smoke where a man once stood. By now, the first three shooters had reloaded, and were once again firing in turn, causing the hapless ambushed troopers to scatter.

Miksu placed a yet-unopened cartridge back into his pouch as he joined the other five men at the carriage, watching another of the veterans pick the lock on the carriage. “Boy, you want to finish earning that mark, you best be running to get us some horses. Unless, of course, you think you can push the thing back to Moonbrook?” Dilune's eyes didn't match his tone, and the clap on Miksu's back as he began to jog to where the horses were hidden was anything but unhappy.

Is there anything else you would like to add, ask, or otherwise clarify?:

I've actually had a character on this server before, but I think the account was deleted because of lack of use; sometime between a year and six months ago, I lost access to a computer that was WoW capable and was forced to take a small break.
Welcome to the server!
