Conquest of the Horde

I've noticed the trunk for ArcEmu has been updated to support 3.1.3. Therefore, I'll be running some testing within the next few days.

This means that it could be as early as tonight when I get home from work, or as late as Monday, when I'm off. I'm not sure if I'll have the time Sunday or not, as we'll be having a birthday party for my grandpa and I (on his birthday, but two days before mine).

Once testing begins, DO NOT PATCH UP! If you have two installations of WoW, you're welcome to try and log in when I call for it (by changing your realmlist in your normal WoW directory, of course). If everything seems relatively smooth, THEN I'll make another announcement for people to patch up... though it'd still be safer to create a backup copy of your WoW directory (if you only have the one patched to 3.0.8/3.0.9), just in case we discover something game-breaking.

Anyway, I'll post another announcement when I'm going to begin testing.

Good stuff, good stuff. I'll be sure to check in when everythin's ready for 3.1.1 just so I can bug yo-.. I mean. So I can help you find some vermin bugs!

Well, I don't know how to make a second WoW folder, so I guess I'll just wait until the patching up has been deemed safe.

All you do is copy your wow folder to a new location then run the patch.

If I have one folder for retail, and one for CoTH, can I just change the realmlist on the retail folder and try?

What is the normal wow Realmlist info, if anyone could tell me so I can uh... you know... patch up.. I seem to be having an issue or so.

Just erase the whole thing and save it, then run the launcher.

And in general:

Keep in mind that we may return to 3.0.9. If you patch up, you do -not- get to complain if we do. Your downgrading will be noted, and we will laugh at you, quite literally.

I've had to down patch like.. 24242123153 times, so If you have all of the updates downloaded it's about a 10 minute process, I recommend that!
