[RG] Story Thus Far...

THE STORY THUS FAR:


A rogue and spy known as "The Coyote" was sent to Hearthglen to establish herself a spot in the Hearthglen financial office as well as to locate the armory. However, Annabelle Greene, now a member of the Hearthglen Council, spotted the suspicious woman and informed a former Red Glove: "The Serpent". Though efforts in keeping Haydee away from getting a financial job was a success, she otherwise managed to find some of Hearthglen's weaponry. Meanwhile, "The Raccoon" is assigned to search for the Serpent, but Annabelle was successful in taking him away in hiding.

In addition, a third member, "The Salamander", was contacted to do research on Annabelle, and her home and identity was soon discovered. Interested in stealing her schematics, the Salamander was sent back with The Toad in an attempt to do so... but the pran plan was changed when Salamander kidnaps Annabelle instead.

Anna is brought to the Red Glove's headquarters where torture took place... but she resisted well despite the Glove's efforts. After trying to get her to reveal how to take down her glyphs, they tried another task: deciphering the Perin Schematics, a series of engineering blueprints and plans unintelligible to anyone who is not a "Perin". Deciding they're done with her, they throw her among the Rats where she is imprisoned among them, forced to work with them.

Deciding upon himself to plan a rescue, Dr. Dino rushes to Gadgetzan to mail a letter to important contacts when he comes across Barregis Jones. Seeing how Jones has enough resources to face the Glove, Dino seeks his help. Meanwhile, Krilari Dawnsend suspects The Coyote to be a spy.... for the Cult of the Damned. During her incarceration, she misleads her captors about being a counterspy for criminals and reveals incriminating information on the Serpent which could lead to his capture.

During Annabelle's stay within the Rats' labs, she befriends three Rats--Marti Seascholar and Vittorio and Porzia Vitalforge--as well as The Toad, whose real name is Arnaldo Gallo. They are forced to work with skewed Perin schemantics, which turn out to be going nowhere. However, after some puzzle solving, a break through was provided when Aimee revealed the secret of the Perin codes. With one out of many machines nearly completed, Annabelle and Marti used this as an opportunity to break themselves and the Rats out. This was only partially successful, however, as Annabelle was prevented escape by the two Halves of the Mongoose, who finally make their appearances.

The thirteenth day of the third month...


As punishment for her stunt in the Arathi base, Annabelle, whose life is spared thanks to Aimee's pleads, is sent to a mithril mine in Badlands, where hundreds of miners and guards are under heavy surveillance. There, Anna meets with a kaldorei named Faelipo Paleleaf and a human paladin named Stefano Ricci, which the two made previous attempts of escape. Not long into their work, however, are they joined by Hrodebert Rivermouth, who was travelling with Jami back to their Arathi home when they were ambushed. Though Jami managed an escape, Hrodebert is now forced to work in the mines with Annabelle, Faelipo, and Stefano. Aimee, meanwhile, is assigned to supervise the operations there, but several thugs among the miners and thugs seem to have less-than-savory plans for their dainty manager.

Reigen Dawnsend, in hopes to seek for an explanation of Haydee's letter on behalf of the Hearthglen authorities, arranges a meeting with Dr. Dino in Tanaris, where he assists her condition and explains the situation with Haydee. Luck happens upon them when Marti teleports there rather than Hearthglen, and he reveals the stolen schematics Annabelle helped him escape with. Dr. Dino then reveals the monstrosity in which the Perin Schematics are meant to create: they are 50 engineering plans to create a supposedly perfect mechanical monster known as The Peregrine, which is powered by fel, arcane, and shadow. Eight times as big a Goblin Shredder and supposedly ten times as destructive, the Peregrine is to be created with full intentions to decimate towns with little effort... and the Red Glove intends to build it, either entirely for themselves, or to sell it to the highest faction bidder, which can turn the tides of war.

The Red Glove makes arrangements for more crimes to commit as they build more power for themselves.



It's only a matter of time before the Glove makes its next move...

The 16th of the 3rd month...

After some plotting with Stefano Ricci and Faelipo Paleleaf, Annabelle and Hrodebert make their moves in arranging an escape. As the Badlands sun rises high in the blistering noon, Anna sneaks from the luncheoning miners as she steals the keys to the silencing collar from the heat-beaten Aimee. As soon as the time was right, the collars were removed... but the miners, casters also freed, bring upon the attention of the slavers prematurely, and a battle ensues within the Mithril Mines. The head slaver, the orc Kogath, begins bombing down the mine with packs of dynamite, but Hrodebert manages to take the fight to him before more get hurt. Aimee and other marksmen work together to defeat Kogath, and at least, the miners are free!

But tidings are not good for everyone. Aimee is attacked and proposed to be turned in to Stormwind authorities, but Anna warns that she will be released as long as Paolo-Gianni Rossi remains posted there. Deciding to detain her in Arathi, the travelling troupe begin wandering through Badlands in hopes to extract information from the little Raccoon.

Haydee, at this moment, is still in Hearthglen. A man named "Bane" has arranged for questioning alongside Krilari. Dino, meanwhile, is reassured safety and amnesty in Hearthglen as long as he works as a doctor as a form of community service for his crimes. Marti Seascholar has found shelter in Hearthglen as well... but little does he know that he was just spotted by as Milo Thistle, an initiate for the Red Glove.

Missions have been sent out for the Glove's operatives.

The 19th of the 3rd Month...


News of Annabelle and Hrodebert being safe and Aimee held safely at Hrodebert's home reached Dr. Galleani, and in due time, he arrives at the Arathi ranch to reunite with his "niece". With news of Haydee being held at trial coming near, however, he and Anna decide to get Jami to port them over to Hearthglen where they provide testomony.

Barregis Jones, on the other hand, still wishes to use "humane" torture in order to coax Haydee into providing more information, but none of the Argents would have it. Instead, the court trial goes on with Haydee pleading no contest. Annabelle's word was then used against her... but she and those who searched Haydee's home were unable to provide physical evidence that could link her to any crime. Nevertheless, Commander Vangelis Dawnsend sentences Haydee to high security and a possibility of execution. Mahta, a Tauren Argent, arranges for a close heart-to-heart talk with the woman, and Haydee agrees to change her plea if it means changing her sentence.

With everything seeming to have settled down and rest being taken in Hearthglen, Anna and Dino decided to let Aimee back to the Glove so that any decision to leave it would be her own. As they arrive in Southshore for safe exit from the Arathi ranch, they are approached by fully-armored and very enfuriated Stefano, ready to attack Aimee for information on his missing family, who seemed to have been held hostage by the Glove. The confrontation did not last long, however, and he, Dino, Aimee, and Hrodebert searched the Ricci home for clues onto the family's whereabouts. A receipt for a boat ticket to Stormwind is their only one... and now, they will return to the city where a slumbering Bear awaits.

The 20th of the 3rd Month...

With Hrodebert unable to rejoin the group, Annabelle, Aimee, and Stefano arrive in Stormwind to search for Stefano's wife as well as the Perin schematics Dino stole. The search for Allegra herself turned fruitless, but they received a clue after checking the city register: she was trailing Dino until his flight from the Stormwind jail. Deciding to accomplish the other task while tracking down Allegra, the trio sneak to Dino's home and continue their quest there. Nothing on Allegra was there, but they did get the schematics while also burning down the plans for other weapons (much to Aimee's dismay).

All of this time, however, they were being followed--a dwarf known as The Wolverine was hot on their tails. As he was spying our heroes (so to speak), the Bear, Cpt. Paolo-Gianni Rossi, finds the Wolverine and a battle ensues. Though Annabelle and eventually Stefano managed to assist, the Bear was chased off, infuriating the Wolverine in his chance to brutally murder him.

It turns out that Wolverine, Dr. Henri, is a Red Glove defector, not unlike Dr. Dino and Alba. In his case, his opposition is a result of betrayal from the Glove, and he wishes to pay it back tenfold. Annabelle and company gain him as an ally as they all decide to fall back for a bit and rethink their plans. They make their move to Hearthglen where they are to meet up with Dr. Dino, who is enjoying the benefits of community service in exchange of amnesty.

The Red Glove, meanwhile, has sent their own to gather more Lambs as laborers. And they dock at Stranglethorn Vale, unaware that they are being watched.....

The 22st of the 3rd Month...

Being holed up in Hearthglen after so many days, Marti decides to break free in order to see his brother Morfa Skyscholar in Dalaran. Unbeknownst to him, however, was that he was tracked down by Milo Thistle and Drogan Granitejaw, two low rankers of the Red Glove. After a friendly chat with Marti at the Inn, Marti was invited to a shooting contest below the floating city, where the two friends challenged each other to a friendly shooting competition by shooting at tree branches below.

It didn't take long until Marti realized too late that he was being targeted for the stolen Perin Schematics.

An attempt to escape was made, but Marti was overwhelmed. Before his last breath was drawn, Milo and Drogan demanded the schematics back... only to discover that they were handed over to Dr. Dino in Hearthglen. Now with new information passed on, Marti's life was drained, and his body was mauled by Drogan's bear under the guise of satyrs of Crystalsong Forest doing the dirty work of desecration. As soon as this was done, the body was taken to Morfa, who then took the body to an Alliance chapel to prepare for burial.

The 3rd of the 4th month...


Chaos reigned in Hearthglen--a frost wyrm and cultists ran amok across the city, providing Haydee an opportunity to flee the jail and travel to Southshore.

Right after, Dr. Dino is tasked to nurse the injured; as he does, he arranged with a secret meeting with Sangreala in Caer Darrow, where he formed a pact in which he hopes to have her take the Red Glove. Sangreala, however, has other plans up her sleeve, though she does not tell Dino this. An arrangement is made with the Doctor and Arnaldo Gallo in which Arnaldo is to be the scout and counterspy between the two sides. As per Arnaldo's advice, Dino burned 13 out of 14 schematics he held onto, leaving whole only one as a memento.

Meanwhile, two letters--one by Dr. Henri and the other by Barregis Jones--was sent to the Tamer, the Red Glove's head. Wanting to push forward a major project, members of the Glove are being moved to Un'goro. Arnaldo mentioned to Annabelle prior that the Vitalforges are in Un'goro Crater for an unknown task. Annabelle then meets with Stefano again, where they begin making plans for their next move.

As Red Gloves gather in Stranglethorn, chaos breaks out... and the Tamer is watching.

Stranglethorn was a failure.... and thus, the Red Glove went into hiding for months.

Haydee has recovered since her escape from Hearthglen. With Sangreala dead, the meeting was cancelled, and Dr. Dino's mind went at ease... some. Within the Glove, money has been lost since the Stranglethorn incident in which captured slaves were released by heroes and rescuers. With such a great loss blowing the Glove hard, Rosaline Crotti--aka, "The Peahen"--hired a troll named Shafra, who helped formulate new plans that would cover the losses. Meanwhile, Paolo-Gianni Rossi has made attempts to kidnap and capture new slaves in Stormwind, as well as killing people whom he suspects to be after the Glove.

A lead was opened up. Upon spotting Stefano Ricci going about in search of his wife, Rossi attempted to lure him in Cutthroat Alley to off him once and for all... but he didn't count on Dalikan Godford and Royal Hastings to appear. With a new alert set up in Stormwind, Rossi would have to rethink of how to gather more victims. He found one opportunity to do so--that in Matthew Hunter, who was feeling rather drunk after a fight with Cristovao diSilvio. Rossi then apprehended Matthew, but rather than take him to the Stormwind jail, he has him "transferred" to a new prison... that of the Red Glove headquarters in Duskwood.

By this point of time, Aimee has considered the wise words of Annabelle Bronco (nee Greene). Deciding to take a stab at hidden defection, Aimee has agreed to stage an escape for Matthew. This didn't turn out exactly as planned, however--Gregg has caught onto the Glove and caught up with her caravan. The rescue was not a total bust, however, and Matthew was freed--and now, both he and Gregg will have to reach Stormwind before the Red Glove catches on.

The Tamer is watching.... and will catch on.

The 24th day of the 7th month...


Matthew, Gregg, and Aimee have reached Stormwind, and they made attempts to appeal to King Varian when they were stopped and redirected by the Royal Guard to SI:7, where the ledger containing information regarding members of the Red Glove is turned was as paper evidence of Rossi's betrayal to the Crown. Aimee was then left off to the Stormwind Guard where protection was provided until Rossi's investigation was over, wherein the Guard intended to keep Rossi under watch so that an investigation can properly begin. Rossi, however, did not go along quickly and instead attempted an escape, with his own circle of thugs to distract the Guard. Matthew, Gregg, and Officer Kogan, nevertheless, fought through the chaos, and even saw through Rossi's trickery when he attempted to pass off as a civilian. The fight did not last long, however, and Rossi was overcome and captured.

Even while in jail, however, Rossi has one last thing left in his sleeve...

Months have passed since Rossi was jailed. With information on the Glove compromised, the organization had to lay low for a while. Dino and Aimee are safe in Hearthglen. Arnaldo went about as a double agent, continuously providing information for Dino concerning the Glove.

Our heroes, on the other hand, went on with their lives--Annabelle married and has retired from adventuring with her husband and upcoming child. Matthew and Gregg went on to their own respective businesses. Dalikan continued to lead The Lionhearted. Royal went on to be a hero for another story. Hrodebert went back to his family. Barregis was unfortunately executed. Lt. Kogan went back to being a dork resuming his guard duties.

But Stefano... he wandered. And upon happenstance, he came across his cousin, Cristovao, with whom he still had some difficulty identify because of his condition. Nevertheless, he was able to convince a group known as the Grandbell Knights to help him search for his wife, Allegra, and his sons, Dante and Nico.

While Arnaldo had a lead, he at the same time, was given the task to give Dr. Dino poisoned lemon meringue pie. Despite lemon being the Doctor's favorite food, the pie wasn't eaten--it was horribly cooked. Nevertheless, this mission gave a hidden Glove known as "The Falcon" some insight, and news of Arnaldo's defection soon reached the authorities.

The lead provided was that Allegra would be involved in a kidnapping mission lead by one of the Glove's goblin affiliates. It was a set-up-- there was no kidnapping plot, but rather, it was a mission to sink the goblin's ship for the purpose of insurance fraud while doubling as a loyalty check for Arnaldo. As a result, Arnaldo, the Knights, and even hapless passengers on the goblin's ship. The crisis was averted; Allegra was taken back, The Falcon was captured, and the Knights gained Maegwyna as an ally.

Our heroes make their way to Ratchet on the Rocks, where they are to pursue another operative for The Glove: "The Crocodile", who is a trainer and groomer of children into pickpocketing and theft. They will have to find him soon; some plans are being made for the children kidnapped by the Glove, and they must be stopped.
