Immy's recommended art resources

I was looking for tutorials on deviantART for Psychyn to use, but guuuuhhhh, I kept getting anime style tutorials, which annoy me. I often go for realism as a reference, as I can draw realistically but often choose stylization for character art. However, recently, I have been deciding to vary the style of my art depending on the story and setting, so coming across this really helps especially on my part.

I intend to experiment with different styles, though you may not see it in my WoW art. I tend to opt for a more humorous style because my characters tend to be derpy.

The above link is Part One. It's in twelve parts, and the other eleven are provided in the artist's comments. I highly recommend this if you're particularly used to drawing in a toony or anime style.

Here are a couple others. It's a bit more advanced in regards to abstract theory, but I believe any artist at any level can be able to read this. It's regarding symbolism in shapes and how to apply it to make the style you want to adopt (regardless if it's anime, cartoon, or realism). Check it out.

The original links are here and here.

Found a good one. Warning: There are about 91 images in this gallery, so let it load a bit before you take a peek.

These tuts are useful for various detailed ways to draw, including how to draw eyes, folds on clothes, dynamic poses, etc.

Ever confused about height differences and can't be assed to make a height chart for yourself? Be confused no more!

This is meant for drawing characters up to scale, but this is useful for RP/writing/other purposes as well.
