Personality: Solomon is a tricky man, he does good when he sees there is something to him if he makes an action. He doesn't act like that, when his friends or subordinates are involved though, he tries to help them as much as possible. He is quite charismatic, he can go from extremely angry to friendly neighbor in a blink of an eye if it's needed, or to avoid an unpleasant situation, he's always ready to step up to a friend, doesn't matter if that friend is right, or wrong, if the friendship is true, he's willing to risk his own life to the safety of the other, and, although a friend, he's not scared of bring down the law on them, so basically, he'll help you if you're his friend, but he's not scared of punching you in the face -- Repeatedly -- afterward. Solomon has a thing against most spell casters, specially warlocks. The slight nod of 'dark magic' - as he usually calls it - can send him into a deep rage, turning against whoever is 'casting' it, due to a trauma.

History:

Solomon's childhood was just fine. His parents weren't rich, but they could provide him a life that rather fine, he went to school, he had friends, had a home. Everything worked out just great for him. And ever since his youth he loved the seas, he would stay for hours and hours listening to the old men at fountains, taverns, everywhere, he would always ask first 'were you a sailor?' and if the answer was yes, he would go on and on asking questions.

He was a bright young man, when he reached his teens, he did well in school, and decided to enlist to the Stormwind Navy, with... some success. He ended up as a dock worker, loading and unloading ships. That's when most of him was built. He had to be respectful, he had to be regal, had to keep his head down, not to mention carrying boxes, which eventually made him strong, and resistant. The usual Marine Boxing gave him enough bruises to make him look like a dalmatian.

Not long after, he got tired of it, he was being mistreated for being only a 'carrier boy', feeling the marine life isn't what he expected. Where are the adventures? The thundering seas, the friends you build while spending months with them on a boat?
He decided to go job hunting, taking job on private ships, being part of a crew.

No long after, he did find a job, even though he had little experience. He was hired to a crew, and it's first job was to take a shipment to Booty Bay. Everything was fine, Solomon had a good tutor, but hell broke loose when they were halfway there. The shipment was attacked by pirates. Solomon was lost during the attack, all the more experienced sailors were taking positions and readying themselves, but Solomon didn't even know what to do. That is, until he was told to man the cannons.

As Solomon approached the cannons, the ship was hit, debris went flying everywhere, another hit and the ship would sink. Solomon was sent flying to the other side of the ship, laying nearly unconscious, when he came to himself, he realized his vision wasn't... working properly, and he couldn't get up, he was confused, stunned, until his mentor, an old, out-of-shape sailor, showed up, helped him up, carried him, and meanwhile, Solomon simply lost consciousness.

When Solomon woke up, everything was fine, his eye still didn't work and he still couldn't get up, but he knew he was on a ship, but that was about it. He looked around him and found his old Tutor, near his bed. He looked down, and found that his right leg was missing, amputated. He started talking to his old tutor, he found out that he was in the pirate's ship, and that his tutor was actually part of its crew, who was only part of the other crew in order to feed the pirate's information.

Solomon was infuriated, he was ready to fight off every single one of the ship, when it struck him: He had no leg, and he wasn't a very good sword fighter. When the ship's Captain approached him, he told Solomon how he owed the Pirate his life, and without him, he would be swimming his way to the shore now, and, until they get to the docks, Solomon would have to work for them. In other words, he was slaved.

The boy worked hard, harder than he should, and harder than he wanted. However, the crew was somewhat friendly, and they were all people, nevertheless, so they felt some pity for the legless boy, and helped him out sometimes, on harder tasks, which kept Solomon wondering if they were really bad, or if they were just... surviving. That thought kept the boy running sane until the day they arrived the shore.

When he got to the bay, he was 'released' of his slavery, and handed some money, the pirates -were- nice people after all! The first half, Solomon spent on alcohol, and while he was doing so, he befriended a gnome that was making him stay there, he offered to build prosthetics for Solomon, but he needed to be paid. Since he spent way too much on booze, he had to choose between his leg or his eye. It was a hard decision for the boy, but eventually, he chose his sight. He aspired to be a captain, he needed his sight.

With a prosthetic, barely-functional eye and a peg leg, Solomon began learning engineering with the same gnome that helped him, in order to make some money, though money was short, so he made his decision. Years later, Solomon went back to the pirates he was once slaved, with a wide grin on his face, and proceeded to be part of the crew. This time not as a slave, but a true crew member. He enjoyed himself, drank rum with the captain, brawled with the other pirates, learned how to swing a sword, was gifted his first and very own Cutlass. Eventually, the captain died. Solomon had much esteem for the man, and the whole crew realized that, there was a vote, the pirates were friendly, and they decided to name the boy captain.

Solomon turned down the offer, and said that the first mate is the one that should be named captain. When asked why he turned it down, he simply said: "I will be the captain of my own ship." And walked away, aspiring to be the captain of his very own ship.

I believe you're confusing marines with navy men. I think he'd be joining the Navy if he worked on ships.

Quote:No long after, he did find a job, even though he had little experience.

“No” should be “not.”

Quote:He started talking to his old tutor, he found out that he was in the pirate's ship, and that his tutor was actually part of it's crew, who was only part of the other crew in order to feed the pirate's information.

“It's” should simply be “its.”

I am also hesitant to approve until this is sorted out. But I do believe we know which player everyone is talking about so we'll ask him. In the meantime you can make the other fixes!

Initial approval!

Fixed what Wuvvums pointed out. Sorry about the grammar mistakes, and about mixing Marine with Navy, it's a native-language problem, mostly. Here the Marine are the ones who work on ships and the likes.

Anyway, fixed!

Sol said the name is fair game, so your character can be named Solomon. If you can remove the OOC note next to the name in the profile, that would be appreciated.
