WHAT TO DO FIRST...
#1
Be sure to read the Connecting to the Server global announcement! It will help set you off on the right direction. Before you can log on to the server or even post in the majority of the forums here, you'll need to create an Introduction in the Introduction Submission forum, which is a subforum of the Introductions forum. You'll need to check the sticky in there with the Introduction template, then copy and paste it into a new thread with your own answers. Again, be sure to read the stickies so as to prevent disappointment!

It may take several hours, possibly even a day, before we are able to approve or disapprove your post. If it is approved, you should automatically be added into the Peons usergroup, and you will also be able to create a server account. For information on how to do that, once again refer to the Connecting to the Server global announcement.

While you are awaiting a response on your introduction (by 'response,' I refer to notification of an approved or disapproved introduction), feel free to browse the Server Information & Policies forum, Articles & Guides forum, as well as the Wiki!

Please note that if your introduction is not approved, you should get a PM with a brief reason why. Contrarily, should it get approved you'll simply see it show up in the Introduction forum.

Try to never just say, "My character isn't interested in that adventure." A lot of people mistake this for good roleplaying, because you are asserting your character's personality. Wrong. Good roleplaying should never bring the game to a screeching halt. One of your jobs as a player is to come up with a reason why your character would be interested in a plot. After all, your personality is entirely in your hands, not the DM's. Come up with a reason why the adventure (or the reward) might appeal to you, no matter how esoteric or roundabout the reasoning. -(Source)
