Exploration is the way to go imo!
Romance. I love that feeling of a fantas romance.
Exploration - finding new places, artifacts, researching books, scrolls, finding something new about Azeroth, digging through huge libraries just to find whose ring/pedant/shoe/finger/whatever this was... this is the best. :)
I voted romance. But, I love, love, LOVE to do fights and junk. I can't have my characters just idle around all the time, and make googly eyes at other people's characters. Sometimes, they just have to beat something in the face.

Cressy, I know you are going to find this and make fun of me. D:
I was very often called 'hardcore' RPer on retail cause I wanted to RP every aspect of day-to-day life, all from patching clothes to taking a dump and that I'd rather stretch events over days and time instead of doing it all in one night. Compared to CotH I guess I am avarage.

But there was always something else going on, political intrgue or exploration mostly, during all the day-today RP. Most memorable RP I ever had was on Sporeggar EU where I created a troll tribe open for all troll kind. Settled in the empty huts outside Zul'Aman. I worked alot on mapping down the troll culture, dieties and just small quirks and made sorta easy guides for the members to follow. So the day-to-day RP played a great part into the fun there, the paranoid superstition, the different social status among trolls, conflicts between different backgrounds and so on.
Day-to-day, because that's the broadest genre - all of the others can occur in it.
I vote romance, because a well made romantic RP is truly beautiful!

I concur!
Day-to-Day can actually allow many a thing to happen.

Also, DtD roleplay is somewhat more interesting, in that it allows a really familiar bond with the setting - somewhat like exploration, but on a more intimate basis. Exploration is often quite "tourism" in fact...heheheh.

I'm not dissing the other RPs, but DtD is maybe the one closest to being "one" with a given setting.
For me, it'd be exploration and conflict/battle. Exploring new settings, partaking in historical events (mostly battles) is what I, or my character(s) likes to do. :D
Hard to choose, but I'm going to have to stick with Romance. I'm just too caring and loving to choose anything else. "All we need is love..."

The second place goes to Exploration. Exploring new lands is what I like too.

Third place goes to Conflict. I love a good fight.
