According to that thread, your answer is no. Unless I'm blind and/or misreading.

I mentioned that thread in my message. Im aware that such ideas like roleplaying a cute bear in the forest may get declined.
My question was, could parrot actually be an excuse, since It can be used in popular places, for example Booty Bay Inn.
Just pointing out that what you're asking for is listed on the Highly Unlikely section.

Yes... Im aware of that, and thats why I mentioned an example of an unwanted CMC in my message.
It's listed in the 'highly unlikely' section.

It's highly unlikely you'll be able to play a parrot.
To more fully clarify, a large part of this is that animals (despite debates on Nightsaber intelligence and such) are animals, and tend to be more of a background object in RP. They may well act friendly or angry towards certain people or their master or what-have-you, but in general that's all you'll get from an animal. It's just more enriching to be speaking to another person than petting a dog that keeps scratching at your leg.

At least, that's my own idea of the subject.
Is it possible (mechanically and policy-wise) to have a hunter pet's model be changed as a CMC? I have a story arc in mind that I know I've been discussing for probably half a year now with Flora getting a hunter pet, and the plague-dog model just works perfectly for it. I'd like to know for certain if this is possible, because it affects some IC posts and the arc.
