Did you already try deleting your WTF folder?

Yes I did. But I did retry, and it didn't work.
I tried restarting the login server - try connecting again.

Didn't work... I'm going to try to download the 4.3.4 torrent from somewhere else... see if that yields different results. Thanks for all your help so far.
Try restarting your computer in safe mode with networking. Not sure if it'll allow the game to run, but it's something else to try! Something else is to check the Windows Event Viewer (Start -> Programs -> Administrative Tools -> Event Viewer) and search around in there to see if there's anything regarding Wow.exe or something similar.

Safe mode doesn't allow the game to run, and there's nothing in Event Viewer. But on the bright side, now WoW isn't instantly disconnecting me, it tries to connect before eventually failing.
Wooo! Fixed! I just had to turn all my services off, go into safe mode, and reboot.
