You all make Ruk so very, very proud. So proud he is getting geared up to join the fighting properly.

Just remember who your boss is, Ruk.
I know this might be a silly question to ask, I saw that all are allowed, but are there any 'non-combat' roles in this? I'd like for my Harvest Witch to be involved, I think it'd do good for some character development.

Also how would one go about actually joining the event? Apologies, I'm still extremely new to the server.
Do you mean like a healer? You could spend the event healing and buffing your allies as they fight to claim the island, never having to fight yourself (though probably having to dodge). Most of these events are combat-orientated.

As for joining: Thoradin, usually on the character Ulrach, will start handing out invites at around 2:00 PM server during event day. If not him, then someone else (like myself, and I'm usually on Matthew or Zagosh). You just whisper whoever is inviting people to the event, accept the invite, and you're part of the group for the Tol Barad event. We have OOC portals that can take you to Tol Barad, so no need to worry about how to get there.
Right, I'll need to, eventually, make a character that can fight, or at least develop my Harvest Witch enough to be willing to be near combat. Thank you very much, Mathias. :)
Tol Barad is also open to all forms of Roleplay in between events! Later on we'll have the newest location, the Western Spire, set up for some RP! So far the whole of the North Island (The Peninsula) has been cleared of hostile mobs and is set up with Horde/Alliance NPC's. Just be mindful about where you are in terms of character and factions and whatnot.

The South Island has Ironclad Garrison as the "Hub" for the different factions (Horde, Alliance, Kirin Tor, Ebon Blade, and the Argent Crusade), so feel free to bring any character from those groups or any other neutral groups like the Cenarion Circle or the Earthen Ring.

The South Island also has D-Block set up for RP, maybe some evil characters who have been recently re-imprisoned. And, as I said, the Western Spire will soon be set up for characters to RP in, Mathias and I just have to set it up.

Also, we have the Warden's Vigil set up as a place for Tol Barad Prisoners who have escaped their cells to meet up and RP! Here are the requirements to make and play a Tol Barad Prisoner!

Spoiler:
[spoiler]
Prisoner Concepts allowed from Tol Barad.

Horde:

Orcs from the Second War/Third War.

Forsaken captured during the Third War (These might also just be rogue scourge that have regained sentience when Arthas died.)

Blood Elves, though their corruption is more from the radiation of Fel Magic since the shut down -Or- they were captured during the Third War.

Alliance:

Humans from Alterac, locked up and forgotten about -or- a criminal who did enough crap to warrant being put in one of the most secure prisons on the planet.

Dwarves that might be criminals as well -or- Dark Iron Dwarves.

Gnomes who might have committed serious crimes as well, but the chances are iffy at best to me.

Classes that would have been locked up-

Warriors,Rogues, and Hunters: Many could be easily locked up for any number of crimes.

Mages: Rogue mages outside of the Kirin Tor's control that pose potential threats by spreading knowledge of sensitive topics.

Warlocks: (AFTER THE THIRD WAR (Unless you are an Orc)) Fel Magic is wicked and only recently have any Warlocks been allowed into the limelight without being arrested.

Priests: (AFTER THE FIRST WAR) Shadow Priests only really, as a Light priest would not make sense as a criminal. But Shadow magic is generally associated with evil or foul doings.

Shamans: I am not very certain that many would have been arrested, considering the nature of Shamans. However, Orcish Dark Shamans could have very well existed and been arrested.

Paladins: There would, quite litterally, be none that were arrested due to the nature of this class.

Death Knights: There are chances that First or Second Generations were arrested and imprisoned, but as they are unplayable, this means that no Prisoners can be DK's.

Druids: They did not exist on the Eastern Kingdoms until just after the Third War, but due to the nature of the class, there would be few, if any, as criminals.

Clothing-

No armor. No weapons ( at least nothing more complicated to make than Shivs, at least in the first event concerning them). Your clothes would be nothing more than rags. Magical Casters (Mages, Warlocks, S-Priests, Shamans) would have magic-dampening bracers fitted to their wrists that must be removed via keys that the Warden of a Cell Block would have.

Please be sure to PM to me your character for the soon-to-be-arriving Prisoner Events on TB in this format;

Spoiler:
Subject: Tol Barad Prisoner Concept

Name:

Race: (Only those 6 playable races would have been locked up from the span of the Second War to just before the Cataclysm. Please do not try to reason in other races.)

Class (Spec if applicable): (So I know whether or not you may have had magical dampening bracers.)

Age:

Reason for Incarceration: (Most of these prisoners are criminals. Murderers, Thieves, Traitors, Spies. Some were just in the wrong place at the wrong time.)

Notable Items: (These would be any items that the Prisoner would have had confiscated upon their arrival on Tol Barad.)

Hopefully that answers things for you, Notaris, and any others curious about Tol Barad!
I've saved the format for the prisoners for later use, maybe.

I'll keep the information in mind though, thank you very much.

P.S. The general idea of this server wide event is amazing and I'm glad you've put the effort in to make it!
Tower has been decorated with tents, ogres, and United Forces NPCs. Ruk has been given a tan and some new armor fitting his rank as leader of the Ogres.

Be sure to visit.
Spent 1000 hours in MS Paint to update the Map of the Southern Island!

I suck at that, I know, so if anyone wants to make a better one for me I would be much obliged.

In any case, don't forget to re-cast your votes! Voting ends Thursday!
The Votes are in, on this day of... uh... Thursday. You have said you want to go and look for a sword, well, perhaps it will look for you?

Spoiler:
CRYPTIC MEANINGS, AHOY.

In any case! Tol Barad fires back up tomorrow at 3pm Server Time!
