Goblin Shaman is OK.

Why? Alot of Goblin concept art involved loads of Goblins doing some far seeing and shaman totemizing. They were enslaved by Trolls (Pretty superstitious bunch) so you can guess that alot of early Goblin information was based on the Trolls views. Now your contempary robot-driving, slave pushing, drug dealing, dirtbag goblin could care less about shamanism, but the older ones would know a bit about the way of the Shaman.
Oh, really? I'm sorry, I didn't know much about Goblin lore before.. You know. They were cunning business tycoons. However, expect to see me on a Goblin Warlock! Rawr!
Well I'd assume due to the Goblins long ties with the Orcs, both with the ones on Kezan and Steamwheedle they'd adopt many of the Orcs traditions, some of which would be Demonology and Shamanism.
But I'm talking the average Goblin. However, as Freelight, I believe, stated... The world will be just a need for survival. Perhaps they will adopt some of their closer allies' customs.
Really from what I can see cataclysm is just a big fat general big WTF fix with two new races.

Like all the additional race/class mixes. Dwarf mage? no duh, common they were wandering around with humans and elves enoug that one would think. "Hey! this magic stuff is pretty cool!"
human hunter? I dont know why it took so long, but its about damn time. What? humans dont know how to trick a bear into a cage with a picnic basket?
Flying mounts in azeroth? Oh yeah, this hadnt needed to be done for ever.

the one I have a problem with? Night elf mage. Anyone else smell pandering with this one?

Im sure Ill have a more comprehensive review of this new sauce once it comes out. What WoW retail really needs to do is add classes in addition to races. (I know! its a freaky idea!) And redo the old instances so its at least worth doing for the level grinders out there.

But I digress. The point is moot, considering this is a rp server and the lore we do know is so very general, and they dont plan to even release the thing till 2011. (at least, thats what I heard from Blizzcon coverage. Did anyone else know they sold out the first 30 seconds tickets went on sale?? thats alot of wowheads.)

Highborne. I can't say I agree with them, but heh, at least they have an excuse.

And a bad excuse at that because there is no logic for Highborne returning to the ranks of the Night Elves. Basically all Highborne have become High Elves/Blood Elves so no real noble blood was amongst the Night Elves anymore. Blablabla, makes sense, right?

I wish.
This goes in loops every time someone brings it up. And it always ends with Shen'dralar. Blizz covered their asses on most Cataclysm stuff years before, seems like they've been going back to some of the more unknown bits and expanding them instead of making new up, which I like. (Like the Worgen cure, which was actually from one of the rpg books made in 04.)

Also, some bits about Nelves people might not know, or forget, Highborne were not banished because they practice arcane magic, they helped rebuild Nelven society and tried living with the rest of the Night Elves. They weren't actually banished until they tried creating a magical storm in Ashenvale to feed their magic addiction and show the power of magic over druidism. Which also helps explain why they put up with the rest of the arcane loving alliance.
Personally, the only good thing I see is Worgen, Flying in Azeroth and Goblins. I've always loved Gilnean lore ever since I heard about it, and now people can finally go all 'I have a curse' without being vampire about it.

Since I'm uber-lazy and don't want to elaborate my answers, that's all I have to say.

I bet you that Blizz doesn't even know about this.

I would laugh if you weren't right.

I think he's right. It seems to me like Blizzard does that a lot.
