Noctus the Decavius Introduction
#1
First and foremost: Tell us about yourself, as a player:
OOC: In WoW, I've gone really far to promote my own character. I usually find it difficult doing certain quests or certain courses of action because it would go against my character (Such as PvP when my character attempts to live a life of neutrality). While a good Tavern Role-play was always fun, there's yet another form that eludes me quite a bit: Dungeon RP. I honestly believe that RPing in instances makes the game more exciting and more immersed than a simple "LFG AN PST." I prefer an "I'm searching for brave individuals who'd follow me into the heart of the Nerubian Empire... If you think you have what it takes, I shall take you along." I find that the game itself is amazing at supporting a Role-Playing environment and it usually saddens me that the GMs on the Blizz Server never took the time to really enforce their own terms of service on Role-Playing servers. In essence, I'm a person who enjoys the game and enjoys creating characters that realistically interact within it, and even create such environments frequently as a Guild Leader.

What country do you come from? What is your primary language?:
((Born and Raised in Southern California, U.S. with English as my first language.))

How did you get into Warcraft?:
((I fell in love with the Warcraft Universe when a good friend of mine recommended that I get Warcraft 3. Reign of Chaos was amazing, and Frozen Throne was unbelievable... I played WoW with that almost child-like "What happens next?" anticipation. To anyone who hasn't played WC3 but play WoW, I strongly recommend you get the battle-chest. It'll be worth your $30.))

What made you seek our server over others?:
((Well, there's one aspect of it being entirely RP-based, but the server also has extremely strict guidelines... That means less griefers and less n00bs to infect the servers, unlike in real WoW, so I naturally came here for an actual RP environment.))

What kinds of roleplay do you enjoy?:
((I have a great fondness for very well-thought out, complicated Role-Play, but can stand to do simpler ones when I need to give my mind a rest. As I mentioned earlier, I love RPing in instances because it actually tests your character and shows one's true colors in terms of how they think of the enemy and what they think of their friends. However, Tavern RP has also intrigued me quite a bit as it allows for the characters to spill their guts (Hopefully in Noc's case, not literally) and enjoy a few moments with their friends. There's also the issue of ERP... Personally, if it furthers a storyline, I have no problem with it, but when it IS a storyline.... Eech. Romantic interests, however, are always a good channel for a character's good side, and I find them rather interesting. So in essence, I like almost all RP.))

What is your favorite race/class? Why?:
((My favorite Race/Class combination has to be Undead Priest. The Undead have a certain malleability to them that humans possess, but in this case, they have died and can look at their new lives one of two ways: A Blessing, a Curse, or an opportunity for vengeance. Undead, given their circumstances and the gravity of their situation. Also, Priests have a wide variety of mind powers as well as the ability to heal that I enjoy employing in RP situations. However, as far as lore goes, my favorite race is the Orcs, since they have redeemed themselves from their years of Demonic Servitude, with Thrall leading them to a new age in which the Orcs would strive for peace rather than conflict for the sake of conflict.))

What are your expectations of this server?:
((I expect this server to have a very heavy RPing atmosphere, and to be a haven for those who would like to put the RP back in MMORPG.))

Out of all of our rules and regulations listed on our server, which appeals to you the most?:
((I find the Role-Playing rules and regulations the best, since this server would actually bother to enforce them. I thank you all for promoting a flourishing RP environment!))

Lastly, tell us a story! It can be short, it can be long; but most importantly, we want to see your work in action.

War drums pound in the distance, a dusty air blowing across the rugged desert of Durotar. Alone on the crimson soil was the figure of a Forsaken man, hooded, robed, and completely covered from the harsh winds ripping through the area. He approached the mighty gates of the central point of the Orcish Horde, the city of Orgrimmar. His yellow, glowing eye-lights darted from side to side, the guards looking upon the dead man warily, giving him a deal of scrutiny that would be typical of the strenuous and potentially fragile affiliation between the Orcs and the Forsaken. He entered the great city, the spectacle unfolding... Noctus gazed upon thousands of proud, warrior people walking through the streets, a waiting the next challenge that would be presented to them... Axes in hand and armor strapped in for battle, the meager Undead Cleric like Noctus walking through looked like an azure-robed tree that suddenly grew legs and decided to take a stroll. He leaned on a staff with a rather prominent cross at the tip, a mark of a Cleric's authority and power, and gazed about... Surely someone would tell him where he could find the Warchief, though the looks he got from the Orgrimmar Grunts suggested they weren't in a talking mood for his kind.
Suddenly, a horn blared from the gate as an Orcish Wolf-Rider galloped inside the city, shouting a declaration to seemingly warn those nearby, but it was actually the presentation of a challenge...
"Warriors of the Horde, defend yourselves! The host of the Burning Blade is marching to our doorstep! Arm yourselves and prepare for battle!"
Drawing their axes, blades, and mauls, the Orcs of Orgrimmar could only comply to this issue of a challenge... They roared with a vigor that made many fearsome beasts look like house cats. They then charged at the gate with unrelenting fervor, preparing for their foes to arrive, and from the thundering within the passage through the gate, it seems they had.
"For the Legion! For the Burning Blade!"
From the gate swarmed a mass of a mixed group of fel-touched cultists: humans, orcs, even some other Forsaken and elves joined the fray as blades clashed and flames erupted almost from nowhere. Noctus stood dumbfounded at the display of Ferocity when a nearby warrior smacked him on the shoulder with a plated glove.
"Corpse! Are you just going to stand there and wait for that pretty face of yours to rot off?! There are Demon slaves to slay and Blood to be spilled!" The Orc then roared and charged into the front with his brothers and sisters. "LOK'TAR OGAR!"
Noctus began to channel his energies however he could to aid in the defense... As he concentrated, a strange sensation tingled through his fingers as they glowed a bright gold and conjured a burst of Light that blasted the life out of one of the Cultists... He gazed at his hand, the tingling sensation of the Light Energy still there... Shadow Priest Sarvis said the Light ABANDONED his kind... Why would it aid him now?
It didn't matter at this time, as the current issue was the slew of cultists running through. He attempted to attack each one that passed through the barrier, with both this newfound Holy Power and the mind-flaying Shadow Power he had learned so well from before, cultists falling beneath holy Judgement, the shattering of their own minds, and the mutilation of their bodies. However, the pandemonium stopped for just a few seconds, like the eye of a great storm...
The storm came indeed as large thumps resounded through out the city. The Burning Blade cultists cheered in their foul, Demonic tongue as a great beast, winged with orange skin, a blade burning with green fire, and a bulky structure accompanied by gigantic hooves. It roared its piece in Demonic, slicing through several of the Orc Grunts, though despair wasn't something the Orcs really could see. They battled harder still, trying to conquer the fiend despite the minimal success. Noctus stared at the creature, trying to apply all of his power to obliterate it, without regard to how ineffective it has been thus far.
The Orcs of Orgrimmar roared with what seemed to be delight as yet another one joined the fray... A Young Orc wearing braids, black armor, and carrying a rather enormous hammer. "Hail, Warchief Thrall!"
The Warchief pointed at the Doom Guard and shouted with the intensity of anger an Orc could muster. "You and your foul cultists dare have the audacity to come to my city, to enslave MY people after all the blood that was spilt for it! I SHALL NOT ALLOW IT!" He held the hammer back, charging it with lightning and threw it at the monster, Noctus erupting a pillar of holy fire upon the fiend... It persisted still, and looked over at Noctus, muttering in Orcish. "Little Maggot... I shall show you the true meaning of ag-" SPLAT. The Hammer of Thrall connected with the creature's head, green felblood spattering the streets of Orgrimmar, the Orcs shouting victory cries as the Demon collapsed, the other cultists falling almost as quickly as the Warriors fought with a greater fervor, the corpses of the Burning Blade cult littering the gates of Orgrimmar. Noctus looked over to Thrall, realizing just who it was who saved his life... The very same Warchief Thrall he set out to find. His yellow eye-lights glowed with admiration as he approached. Thrall nodded slowly, addressing his people.
"Brothers and Sisters of the Horde! Today the Burning Blade Clan's folly to enslave us once more has been stopped, and this is my decree to you! Destroy the Demons, and send them and their followers back to the Nether from whence they came! FOR THE HORDE!"
The crowd shouted in unison the same battle cry. Thrall approached Noctus, looking up and down at the young Undead Man who aided the defense of his city.
"Welcome to Orgrimmar... I see you have come to serve the Horde. However, I believe I have a different job for you..."
"Yes, Warchief Thrall?"
"I want you to accompany my warriors in slaughtering the Burning Blade, but... I also want you to pick up a Lieutenant's Insignia... I wish to infiltrate the Burning Blade, but I'm afraid one of my own people would be far too recognizable... Do you think you can handle it?"
"Of course, Warchief... I shall carry out your will... And make the Demons howl in terror to hear your name." Saluting, Noctus walked with the group of Orcish Warriors that set out for the Burning Blade's settlement, preparing for the mission ahead... To take down the Demons from within...
