First and foremost: Tell us about yourself, as a player.:
Oh geez, where to begin. I've been playing games since I was three years old. Video games really are a personal passion of mine, something I initially wanted to make a career out of. I've grown out of that, but I'm still an avid gamer. Roughly five and a half years ago I began role playing. It started out on some forums, known as lucasforums. That was back when I was a major Star Wars geek who could tell you the entire script of Return of the Jedi. My grammar was pretty atrocious back then, and I fell into the "12 year old kid" stereotype pretty well. I jumped into roleplaying right away, and it wasn't long until I was being ridiculed for my complete lack of punctuation and horrible sense of grammar. All my roleplaying was cliche as one would expect of how I've described so far. Despite all that I was quick to make friends. My grammar quickly began improving and I had already become a much better roleplayer. I soon became good buddies with another rookie roleplayer, a fellow forum goer on lucasforums. We expanded our horizons from forums to the game Star Wars Jedi Academy, where we began our long journey of maturing not only as roleplayers, but as people.

Around a year later we moved to the game Neverwinter Nights, all the while continuing our forum RP adventures. The next year composed of us creating a long and epic tale on Neverwinter Nights, before I slowly drifted off and cut off contact with this person. About a year later I came back into contact with him only to find he was planning on continuing our tale on Neverwinter Nights 2. I jumped at the idea, and there was now a much larger group of people to work with.

In the three or so years since then, I've continued to mature as a roleplayer, on things such as Warcraft 3, Lord of the Rings Online, and my own miscellaneous World of Warcraft Private Servers.

And that's a very brief and condensed version of my history with roleplaying. I'm not trying to claim that I'm some awesome RPing veteran or anything of the sort, but this was the best thing I could come up with to fit this field.

What country do you come from? What is your primary language?
I was born and raised in these United States of America. I spent the first 11 years of my life in Pennsylvania, so I'm a bit of a Steelers fanboy. The only language I have any proficiency in is English, though I am attempting to learn German and C++...

How did you get into Warcraft?:
I was mostly dragged in by my friends. The roleplaying group that I interact with have been playing and roleplaying on Warcraft 3 for the past who-knows-how-many years. About 2 years ago they pulled me in with them.

What made you seek our server over others?:
I've long been searching for a private server for WoW that people actually roleplay on. I was in for quite a pleasant surprise when I found out there was actually a server dedicated solely to roleplaying. I used to host a WoW server for private use by my group of roleplayers, but it eventually was too much trouble for me to upkeep and it got pretty stale quickly since there were only 6 or so players on the server at once.

What kinds of roleplay do you enjoy?:
I'm really into it all (with a few exceptions, the likes of which I won't get into...) but what I like the most is either strategizing or fighting in epic battles. I'm not expecting to get to do too much of that in this server, at least not for a while, but that is what I enjoy the most.

What is your favorite race/class? Why?:
My favorite race would be the Tauren. They're really the least "evil" of all the sentient races in Warcraft lore, and I really like their emphasis on honor and bravery and the like. If I had the opportunity to live in the Warcraft world, I would definitely want to live with them.

As far as my favorite class, that'd probably be warrior. Cliche, I know, but I'm a sucker for melee. The whole "holy" thing makes Paladins come across as far too arrogant for me, and I'm really not into the whole "corrupted" thing Death Knights have going on. I'm also a sucker for plate, so that leaves everyone else out of the equation.

What are your expectations of this server?:
I expect a server full of mature and responsible players, and GMs with a passion for roleplaying. We're all here for the same reason, so it shouldn't be too hard to get along, right?

Out of all of our rules and regulations listed on our server, which appeals to you the most?:
Maturity. I find it important for all players to be level headed and able to handle the situations they get themselves into. If your character does something to warrant death, and fairly, through IC channels, has it delivered, I expect you to accept defeat and die. That requires maturity, and I think I'll find it among all players here.

Lastly, tell us a story! It can be short, it can be long; but most importantly, we want to see your work in action. Go!:
The air was filled with a musky odor. It was a very distinct smell - One which could only be identified as the smell of death. The sounds repeated themselves. On the cold street lay a maimed corpse, covered in blood. Flesh was torn out of many areas of the corpse. The opened eye sockets were completely empty. A man stood in the middle of the street, looking down at the maimed corpse. He was wearing some form of steel armor, but stains of blood washed out all color. Grotesque screams could be heard in the distance, shortly followed by the sound of steel hitting flesh. The man did not hear this, however. He was in such a deep state of shock due to the current conditions that his body acted on its own.

At the man's side was a short crimson blade. He tried to grab it, but his hands could not properly grasp the blade. No doubt due to his current state of mind. The man slowly began walking down the street, his body still in control. The sound of steel hitting flesh hit his ears. His consciousness slowly returned, and he recalled what was going on. He was a guard of the city of Stratholme. The undead had attacked. The sounds up ahead must have been his fellow guardsmen fending off the zombie horde.

"Maendir!" A familiar voice cried. Another bloodstained guard walked out of an alleyway. The first man, now recognized as Maendir, whispered to the second guard.
"Shhh, not so loud Taranth." Taranth shook his head though.
"There's nothing to worry about now. Prince Arthas is here! We're saved!" Taranth joyfully cried. Maendir's red face filled with salty tears.
"You mean... We may actually live through this hell?" Maendir asked excitedly, as joy and hope continued to fill his face. Taranth nodded slowly with tears on his face.

The two walked down the street. The violent rending of flesh could be heard once more. The two began sprinting. The prince's army must be just up ahead. They came into a clearing, countless corpses littered the area. The smell of death was so overwhelming that Maendir threw up in his mouth. Prince Arthas could be seen ahead, slamming his hammer into a ghoul. Several footmen surrounded him, killing other ghouls. The last ghoul fell, and the party turned to Maendir and Taranth. Arthas greeted the two warmly.
"Hail, guardsmen of Stratholme."
"Hail, Your Highness!" Taranth said with relief as he dropped to his knees before the prince. Maendir followed suit.

Two of the footmen approached Maendir and Taranth.
"I'm sorry..." The prince said solemnly.
"For what, Your Highness? You've saved us!" Taranth replied confused. Arthas shook his head.
"Your highne-" Taranth began to say, but was interrupted mid sentence. Maendir looked at his friend, only to see a headless body. Taranth's corpse collapsed onto the dirt. Maendir looked around him. It was now that he saw that among the corpses of ghouls, many humans were mixed in... All killed by the sword, a weapon not used by the undead among Mal'Ganis's army. It was now that he realized just what was happening. Before he could say a word though, he was pierced through the stomache by a footman's blade. The footman removed his blade, and Maendir fell onto the ground.

Arthas and the footmen continued on. More screams could be heard. Yet more blades struck against flesh. Maendir could slowly feel the life leaving his body. He didn't know how long he was lying there. It felt like an eternity. He finally felt death embracing him, but before it could take him a voice filled with darkness itself recited the following words
"Arise, minion of the Lich King."

Is there anything else you would like to add, ask, or otherwise clarify?:
Sorry for the countless walls! Hope I didn't bore everyone too much... I look forward to RPing with you all.

Haha, thanks.

One thing I forgot to mention in my post - I normally go by Korth or Strife. You can really call me any of my miscellaneous nicknames, but those are the two major ones.
