First and foremost: Tell us about yourself, as a player.:
Hi there, name's Charles, but most of my friends call me 'Mr. Chow' - due to my love for Chinese takeaway. I'm a 16 year-old student and I'm interested in Ancient History, Philosophy and Writing, but that all comes second to bumming around, playing computer games. Recently I've been nuking my brain with Modern Warfare 2 and now I think it's time for something a bit more constructive. Thus I present myself to you all!
What country do you come from? What is your primary language?
I'm from England and I speak English. I would love to say I'm fluent in something funky, but I've never gotten around to another language. Just snippets.
How did you get into Warcraft?:
Up until a few years ago, my best friend would rant at me about how good Warcraft is. He'd tell me about his sleepless nights spent grinding, farming, raiding... It all seemed pretty depressing to me, but I gave it a go nonetheless. Fortunately, I got bored of it after the first few months and it was at that point that I gave roleplaying a try. I loved it straight from the word go and I've since enjoyed many RP experiences!
I've never really had the chance to try pen and paper roleplay, but I'm sure it'd be quite fun. Perhaps not as exciting as WoW due to it's lack of visual aids? I don't know... I'm sure someone could tell me!
What made you seek our server over others?:
Well I noticed on retail WoW that the quality was often good... But it was starting to rarely happen. That, mixed with the lollerboy nature, made me want to try out private servers I had heard about. So I went and googled it all and ended up stumbling across CoTH! I had a brief look at the other RP servers you recommend, but this one certainly seems the most structured and ensuring of good quality RP.
What kinds of roleplay do you enjoy?:
I usually swing for more relaxing roleplay, just small group RP away from the fray - either out fishing, doing a spot of adventuring or going for a holiday in the Vale. I found that action RP and danger RP in bigger groups would get messy, all too quickly, and would soon end in fits of drama drama drama. However, I do still like the idea of action RP... As it is natural in such a World for conflicts to happen. Hopefully I will be able to find the action RP here a lot more bearable and actually enjoyable and reasonably.
What is your favorite race/class? Why?:
My favourite race, though I did not play it the most, would probably be the Gnomes. Their ingenious nature and often eccentric manner gives you a cool personality to play with and use to brighten up the RP around you. It also gives you a chance to be something completely opposite to this stereotype, offering a Gnome who is much more simple and narrow-minded and gruff around the edges. Unfortunately, I probably ended up playing Humans more often due to their versatility and my ability to relate to them a bit more.
My favourite class would probably be the warrior. It's the least restricting on RP items available and has a lot of roleplaying capabilities - from a savage brute to an honourable house guard. Then again, I rarely stuck to the stock class as such, so what I chose to create my character as wasn't particularly relevant.
What are your expectations of this server?:
I simply expect an ideal environment for me to RP in. The policies and the screening seem to make the RP a lot better to begin with, so I'm expecting some real good quality! Having fished around in the forums, I can see this assumption being clarified. I'm not quite sure how active private servers are... But hopefully this one will be fairly lively, in contrast to how dead retail has been lately - or I will at least find another small band of friends to interact with
Out of all of our rules and regulations listed on our server, which appeals to you the most?:
I'm a big fan of Respect and Tolerance (I'm mentioning both as I feel they overlap in some aspects). For something like a private server, especially an RP one, there needs to be a clear order of respect present! A good level of respect will keep the community tight and intimate, producing the most enjoyable RP. And of course, being respectful is part of being tolerant - I can't stand seeing people slated because of who they are. If people are simply friendly and open-minded, all the cogs in this operation will neatly work together
Lastly, tell us a story! It can be short, it can be long; but most importantly, we want to see your work in action. Go!:
I haven't got one to hand just yet! But I shall probably write something slightly humorous, centred around somebody who drinks too much rum and subsequently finds themselves in a strange situation. Expect to see it up soon!

Sorry if this turns out a little short at first! It's hard to tell how much I've written when using this template. I don't know if I can go back and edit either?
