First and foremost: Tell us about yourself, as a player.:
Well, to start off, hello there! I am a former WoW player, played on the official servers for 3 years, 2.5 years on the Roleplaying server of Argent Dawn. I had several characters over this time. At any rate, at some point I did quit the game due to various reasons. Now, i've come to the point and conclussion that Roleplay, which really is my favourite part in MMOs, was most developed in WoW. I seek to start again, however, being a teenager with limited funds which I desire to spend on other things, Id rather not pay the official servers.
What country do you come from? What is your primary language?
I was born and live in Romania. Romanian being my primary language, however, my English skills are...quite good, the language barrier is not present for me.
How did you get into Warcraft?:
I played warcraft 3: Reign of chaos when I was younger, adored the storyline and lore! Was awesome for me.
When my cousin showed WoW to me, I was instantly mezmerized(I was 12), and thus, proceeded to buy the game without hesitation.
What made you seek our server over others?:
I must admit, I did not seek any particular server. My google search was the following "private WoW RP server". Conquest of the horde is one of the few I found and the first to be frank. And the rules seem quite attractive also.
What kinds of roleplay do you enjoy?:
Well, I've done several sorts of Roleplay, a lot of forum roleplay as well, and when playing Lord of the rings, I generally did casual RP, due to lack of time mostly. However, with the risk of sounding corny, my heart lies with hardcore Roleplay. The great plots that are a mixture of combat, sociability, manipulation and everything the real human society would mostly have to offer, only it is set in this fantasy world.
What is your favorite race/class? Why?:
I really couldn't say...elves(both night elves and blood elves)? well, those are my most played classes, but I love most races in wow(never really liked humans and gnomes). As for a class, well...I'd say Rogues mages and hunters(there is in no particular order), however, roleplay does not constrict one's standard class to neccessarily play that particular one, so it doesn't truly matter.
What are your expectations of this server?:
What I am really searching for is Roleplay, and to enjoy this game again, both PvE and PvP, but mostly Roleplay and a nice community. Should i be given the chance to experience good quality roleplay again, and in the least bit the game itself, than I would be very satisfied.
Out of all of our rules and regulations listed on our server, which appeals to you the most?:
The Roleplaying rules. Of course, these are the unwritten rules on the official servers between Roleplayers as well, and in most other Roleplay communities. However, they were not enforced by anyone, all you could do about it is ignore or cope with the rulebreakers, if these rules are actually enforced here, then it would be more than wonderful.
Lastly, tell us a story! It can be short, it can be long; but most importantly, we want to see your work in action. Go!:
The water poured quickly down towards the waterfall. The river was not deep as you could see the stones at the bottom, which is also due to the fact that the water was crystal clear. Sometimes a few fish could be seen swimming with the current, and other fish, being eaten by other fish swimming with the current. But for a few moments, the stream of water and life had been interrupted. A good portion started to gradually but quickly freeze so that one may be granted passage to the other side. The feet in ragged, torn cloth shoes slowly and gracefully crossed the partly frozen stream. The one responsible for this interruption in the flow of life considered that the ice would melt in time, and did not bother to discharge his improvised bridge. The figure continued to walk through the bountiful forest until it reached a ledge. From the high top, great spires could be seen, and the high walls of a magical city rose in the horizon, Silvermoon was in sight. The figure sighed deeply as it brought its hands together and considered the view...
"Quel'thalas, land of the former high elves. Once, the greatest of kingdoms, once...the power of the elves screamed greatness! Once, our affinity to the arcane was unmatched, and the advantages were greater than the price. Once...we wielded the power of both destruction and creation in the very palm of our hands! Once, we were STRONG, PURE, un....corrupted!
Quel'thalas...a land scared...a land reduced to half of its former glory. The scars of the past are everywhere, and still loom a threat to my people, but the greatest of threats, the greatest wound that still lies open, that we maintain. From its pouring blood we feed and strive to keep it open. The greatest of scars is right within us, right within our hearts, beneath our skin, its corruption flowing through our veins, shooting out of our eyes!
Quel'thalas...Home.
But one day...one day soon...my people shall be cured, so that we may reign again, so that our people...shall take their rightful place in this world again. One day, we shall spread vengeance, and undo the ones who defiled these lands and brought this plight upon our people.
Quel'thalas, soon...a land reborn, whatever it will cost me."
The figure walked away from the ledge. It wore a hood, as ragged as the rest of its clothes, it took it off and then spoke out loudly as the face of a young-looking blood elf appeared "No more need to hide, not anymore, at least not for the time being."
The icy bridge that he had made already had cracks in it, water pouring through them.
