So, we all know that the upcoming "lore-destruction" is looming over us all. In retail the Lich King has fallen, he has also fallen on CoTH OOCly. We are moving towards the inevitable...and one of the features of the inevitable is Hyjal. And Ragnaros.

So, Hyjal, the unfinished and epic zone that most have never been to. I went there yesterday using mysteriously sturdy crates that are so sturdy they even stay in the air. The zone is complete if I'm honest except for a waterfall and stream needs to be installed at one place.

But...what about Ragnaros!! Where does he come into this!! Well, there is a cave in Hyjal with the same style as Onyxia's lair. This cave is currently Out of Bounds to normal players, but I'm betting a GM could bust into it. Well, Ragnaros is currently banished from Azeroth, but where too? Well, Cataclysm would have it that when the Cataclysm struck, the elemental planes and Azeroth collided. So, what if we say that this cave is inhabited by fire elementals...

Well, if the zone opened up it would be a hotspot for the Night Elven druids who would try to cleanse the World Tree, possibly in an attempt to further their prowess in druidism, I am unsure on the matter so any comments here will be welcome. But yeah, in my opinion the story would go that all this energy from nature focused on one place may attract the elementals from this unchartered cave to them, where a battle ensues. Now our dear old friend Ragnaros, where does he come into this. Well, having been banished from Azeroth, he'd be out for revenge, a burning hatred hotter than his external form. Maybe, just maybe, the druids in their vain attempt to cleanse the World Tree opened up a way to get from Ragnaros' plane to Azeroth, where he is ready to destroy the unsuspecting druids, along with his small army of elementals, from the nearby cave.

OoOoOoOoHhHhHh!!

Comments, criticisms, ideas are all open here, as long as it's not off topic!

The problem with this is that it might contradict the way that Blizzard has Ragnaros bursting back into Azeroth. Other than that, I like the idea, but druid RP is usually pretty hard to find and the GMs are already planning/ have already planned events leading up to Cataclysm.

I completely understand, and have been waited with bated breathe for more word from Mikain on the Tides of Change subject matter. As of now, Hyjal has not been mentioned at all, and I thought that this would be a viable way to include it into the Cataclysm storyline. Of course there would only be one event here, the coming of Ragnaros to the druids, and killing many. After which the battlelines would be drawn and a stand off would be established until Cataclysm.
