TheHeartsinger`s Introduction
#1
First and foremost: Tell us about yourself, as a player.:
Well, I think starting with a name would be best, yes?

My name is Jessica, Jess for short. Although, you can call me Heart or Heartsinger on here, whichever you prefer.

I recently turned nine-teen last October and I've graduated from High-School. I decided to take a year off from schooling and find a job for that time. However, I've had the poorest of luck and no one appears to be hiring near my area, and I don't want to have to go across town to work.

Granted, this means I have more time to sit at home and do my hobbies, which is mainly roleplay. Although, my roleplaying outlet has been somewhat... lacking lately.

What country do you come from? What is your primary language?
Born and raised in the United States. My primary (and really only) language is English. I know a tiny fraction of Spanish, French, German, and Japanese, but not enough to form a coherent sentence.

How did you get into Warcraft?:
You'd have my half-brother to blame for that. He had Warcraft and Warcraft II for the PC and would play it in the afternoon after I got home from Elementary School. Occasionally, he'd let me play instead of him. Of course, at this time I didn't pay too much attention to the story, being eight at the time.

However, when I saw Warcraft III was coming out, I knew I had to get it. That's when I started paying attention to the Lore and storyline. I instantly fell in love with it.

What made you seek our server over others?:
To be brutally honest, I came seeking another roleplaying server because the last one I was on (which will remain anonymous) wasn't right for me. The GMs decided to host an event that, in the end, would kill all of the players involved with it, but neglected to inform said players of this plan.

Needless to say, I, and at least thirty other players were not pleased.

What kinds of roleplay do you enjoy?:
In the end, I'm truly open to all forms of roleplay. However, I tend to prefer talking over fighting. You'll more than likely find me at a tavern, trying to out drink a dwarf or conversing about magical theory with a mage rather than out in the front, dealing death to my foes.

What is your favorite race/class? Why?:
In the fantasy setting, I'd have to say my favorite 'race' would be the half-celestials / half-fiends. However, since this is a Warcraft setting, I do not believe they exist.

In the good ol' Lore, my favorite races would have to be the Humans, High Elves, and the Night Elves.

Pretty diverse, eh?

Anyways, my reasoning behind those is that with humans, I love their diversity. It's so easy to come up with differentiating personalities between them all, because no two humans are the same.

That, and being one--at least I think I am one--makes it excessively easy to submerge myself in their identity.

For the Elves, however, the reason is pretty much the same between them.

I LOVE ELVES.

Okay, it's deeper than that. But, yes, I really do like elvish characters. While their personalities may not differ as much as Humans do, they each can have their own unique flair gifted to them from either their extended or immortal lives. You can view life so much more differently if you know you're not going to die for a very long time.

As for my favorite class, I really don't have one. I roleplay all kinds. I've been warriors. I've been mages. I've been shamans, druids, and rangers (hunters). I've even played 'race' classes, such as Dreadlords and Eredar, Shades and Lich's. Just to name a few.

What are your expectations of this server?:
My expectations? FOR YOU ALL TO BOW DOWN AND WORSHIP ME! <Maniacal Laughter>

Um... <Cough> Ahem...

Seriously, my expectations for the server is that you all know what you're doing and that you can roleplay properly.

I don't know how many times I had to deal with, "i shot u u die i win"

Out of all of our rules and regulations listed on our server, which appeals to you the most?:
To be honest, all of those rules appeal immensely to me. I have my own personal reasons for some of them, which won't be mentioned until I see a -really- good reason to. Others are just that's how I should expect a server to be run.

However, my most appealing rule I saw there was 'Tolerance.' This was a shock to me, it really was. I know not everyone can agree to everything. Opinions will differ and there might be some conflict, but it makes me glad to see that there is a rule about people being open to other peoples beliefs, their race, religion, or whatever.

Lastly, tell us a story! It can be short, it can be long; but most importantly, we want to see your work in action. Go!:
This is the introduction to an old guild of mine, The Scarlet Flame. It tells the tale of Andromidus de Felo'Malorn and how he came to lead.

Note: this story is lightly lore-bending (if not breaking) as another magi order would not be very likely in Azeroth.

The Prelude

Crack. Snap. Andromidus was thrown clear across the room from the force of Alik the Black's spell, causing him to slam onto an alchemy table. Glass shatters, wood splinters, and Andromidus grunts as he feels his shoulder pop loose from its joint, racking his body with pain.

The fight had not gone well for Andromidus since the start, his former master sapping most of the magical energy he had been holding onto specifically for the battle as he entered the place Alik had made the center of all of his foul research and experimentation. Using his own students, as well as other members of their order as fodder.

Wincing, for shards of glass were deeply embedded into his back, Andromidus idly amused himself with the just how frail robes were, compared to the magically reinforced plate that the battle-mages who guarded their home wore.

Alik chuckled at Andromidus. "So, the weakest of the Council decided to move against me... how fortuitous." Walking forward, his black robes trailing over the bloody floor, Alik raised Andromidus into the air with but one hand. "I required someone with decent magical talent for my next... project." Alik laughs again, moving in even closer to Andromidus, almost face to face now. "So pathetic and weak, though. I was hoping you'd put up more of a fight."

Andromidus, of all things, chuckles. "You've forgotten one thing, though." He says, using all of his willpower to remain conscious.

Alik raises an eyebrow at his former student, intrigued. "And what is that, weakling?"

"You forgot that when you play with fire..." Andromidus flicked his fingers from his good arm up toward Alik's eyes, small flicks of flame scorching Alik's face, blinding the fallen magi permanently.

Crying out in pain and shock, Alik stumbled back, unable to maintain the spell that withheld Andromidus, letting him fall to the ground. Nearly toppling over, Andromidus barely manages to stay on his feet, looking up at his disfigured mentor. "Sometimes you get burned!"

Starting a quick chant, swiftly saps much of the mana stolen from him by Alik back, using the new found power to launch a destructive blast of fire at Alik.

Smiting the fallen magi on the chest, Alik falls backward, gasping in pain, his breath labored as he turns his blind eyes toward Andromidus, incredulous. "You're just one man!" He shouts in denial, almost snarling. "What can just one man do?!"

Looking down at Alik, there was a hint of sadness in Andromidus' elven eyes. "Quite a lot, it seems." Andromidus casts one final spell, ending Alik's life.

The Aftermath

Andromidus laid upon his bed, eyes closed. It had been a few days since he had disposed of Alik, preventing the usurper from destroying the Scarlet Flame entirely... but he had caused a lot of damage.

Most of the younger magi were dead, leaving only maybe a dozen or two apprentices. Most of the experienced ones were taken or killed. Three of the twelve Council members were also dead, one formerly being Alik, another had been turned and then destroyed, while the last was killed in the fighting as well.

That left the once strong order of hundreds now at barely forty.

All in all, it wasn't a good week.

Andromidus continued to lay there, brooding about all that had occurred. It wasn't until a soft knock on his door that he sat up. "Come in." He grunts, not truly wanting to be bothered.

His stance changed, however, when he saw that the Archmage of the Scarlet Flame had some to see him personally. "Archmage!" He gasps, quickly trying to make himself presentable. "Forgive me, I didn't realize it was you, I--"

With a smile, she cuts him off, waving her hand idly. "It's quite alright. Please, sit down. We have things we need to discuss."

Blinking, surprised, Andromidus sets himself back down on his bed, swiftly using a spell to draw forth a chair from across the room so the Archmage could sit. "What is it you require of me, Archmage Sentori?"

An amused expression comes across the woman's aged face. "Please, call me Triala. As for being the Archmage... that's what I've come to discuss with you."

Still a little surprised, Andromidus did not know what this was about still... but he had an inkling. "What is it?" He asks, always being the most forward with things.

Triala carefully studied Andromidus before speaking. "I'm resigning from my position. I've been the leader of this order since it's founding, which was... oh, nearly two hundred and twenty years ago, I believe. I think it's time for me to pass on the leadership."

Startled, Andromidus reigned in several questions that popped into his head, instead asking, "Who then? The most senior member of the council? Why is it you feel you needed to inform me of this?"

Triala laughed, light and airy. "No, not him. You."

Of all the things Triala could have said, nothing could have stunned Andromidus as much as this. Triala could have said she was Illidan's lost lover and it wouldn't have shocked him as much. Still disbelieving, Andromidus shook his head. "You can't be serious... me? Of all people? I was barely nominated for the council two months ago!"

Chuckling, Triala shook her head, amused by Andromidus' reaction. "Your seniority had nothing to do with my choice. It was your actions. Unlike all of those old fools who sit on the council, you alone decided to take action and step up and do something about it, even if you knew you weren't likely to succeed. That's the kind of person the order needs now. A strong and confident leader. You've shown this, and this is why I stand by my choice."

Closing his eyes, Andromidus nodded, sighing. "I... understand... even if I don't agree with you. So much needs to be done."

Nodding, Triala smiled sadly. "That there does. Our numbers need to be rebuilt, new apprentices need to be found and taught. But above all: the council needs to learn that you are a the right choice to lead the Scarlet Flame. They will disagree with my decision. They will think that someone far older and far wiser than you should take on my responsibilities. Show them they are wrong."

Andromidus opened his eyes then, standing up with a new air of authority and confidence that he did not seem to possess earlier. "Then I'll go out, personally, to find others to join our order, as well as allies. This is too important of a task to entrust to someone else. I need to do it myself."

Her smile widening, Triala stood up as well, patting Andromidus on the shoulder. "Show them just how strong a leader you can be, Archmage."

Is there anything else you would like to add, ask, or otherwise clarify?:
At first, I was thinking I'd have to add that I'm very strict about my grammar. I won't rip your head off for making a few mistakes, but it's important to me that a person I'm roleplaying with at least -tries-.

But then I read your rules and Grammar is a RULE you have. So, it's almost pointless to mention this.

But, if there is something I need to add, it's that I can be really silly at times. You may have noticed that earlier in this application. Just don't take it personally, or see it the wrong way.

Hehe. It's okay. Pardon me if I make a quick edit to my submission. I realized that after I posted it, I had neglected to say my favorite class. I did race, but not class.

Forgive me for that. It was late and I was hopping from section to section.
