Hello! I was recommended to this server by someone in the LFRP channel a few days back. It seems that other people on the channel had visited this server too, and said that it is an excellent place for proper roleplay. Coming from Argent Dawn on the Blizzard servers, I find that RP is terribly underrated and un-supervised, leading to some absolutely horrific ideas and characters walking around. I'd love to find a place where everyone is a serious roleplayer, who understands the lore and knows how to roleplay a proper Warcraft Universe character.
My name is Liam Taylor, I'm 14 and I currently have quite a lot of free time on my hands as of late. So, in hope of new horizons, here I am!
What country do you come from? What is your primary language?
I am from Britain, England, Stockport County.
How did you get into Warcraft?:
I first joined warcraft about 3 years back, after watching my cousin play when I was at his house one time. I was instantly fascinated by the game, and by the end of the week I had my first tauren druid on Hellscream. I've always been a Hordie, and I've always enjoyed World of Warcraft all the way.
What made you seek our server over others?:
I was unaware of the existance of private roleplay servers until your server was recommended to me in LFRP.
What kinds of roleplay do you enjoy?:
I enjoy racially placed roleplay, and the occassional military setting. Orcish and Trollish styles are my favoured, such as Cults, Clans, Wars against the Alliance and cultural events and rituals.
What is your favorite race/class? Why?:
Currently I am in favour of Trolls and Tauren, Warriors and Druids. They are two of my favourite races to play. I enjoy playing on my Troll for the darker side of things, the savagery and the xenophobic nature of their existance. I also keep in mind that the Darkspear are only in the Horde because of a blood debt. They would not have joined by choice.
Tauren are an excellent culture, based on the Apachean northern american culture back in the age of exploration. The ideals and roleplay situations that come out of Tauren are amazing and diverse.
What are your expectations of this server?:
From what I've heard, I'm expecting a relatively popular and proper roleplaying server, with GMs that enjoy getting involved with the community instead of just sitting and watching day in day out. I also hope that the community understands the lore and abides by it, and aren't superhero master assassin death knight dunedain.
Out of all of our rules and regulations listed on our server, which appeals to you the most?:
The maturity and the regulation on roleplay. I do enjoy people entering my roleplay, but only if they fit the situation at the time. The fact that I can let a GM know if I am displeased with anything also appeals to me, as I dislike the constant ignorance of the blizzard GMs.
Lastly, tell us a story! It can be short, it can be long; but most importantly, we want to see your work in action. Go!:
The soft tap of his feet against the stone groundwork echoed against the walls of the Plateau, only amplifying the silence and solemnity of the Sunwell. Dranzai moved up along the corridor, staring around himself in awe at the architecture and size of the enormous plateau, amazed that the work of his racial enemies could be so majestic. He spotted the Commander with his lover upon a bench outside the main building. He approached them, exchanging greetings. The pair looked very formal to his eyes, dressed in elegant robes, adorned with jewellery and a look of nobility. In comparison, Dranzai felt rather unfit to enter the place he was visiting, feeling very uncouth and unproper.
As the trio walked along the battlements, they exchanged words. "So, Legatus, how do you feel? This is a great honour, you are one of the few, if not the first, Troll to witness the Sunwell in it's full, restored glory," said Alathios, smiling at Dranzai, his cowl hiding his deep blonde hair, his green eyes flashing against the light of the felstones. "I am speechless, mon. I understan' how much yu' revere 'dis place, and I be irrevocably honoured to be allowed ta' see such a holy place. T'ank yu' fo' inviting mi'," replied Dranzai, bowing his head slightly in respect.
"I believe the rest are inside the main building. We should make haste, we do not want to miss out on the sermon," commented Cyanae, quickening her pace. Dranzai and Alathios followed suit.
The architecture of the Sunwell was dazzling. The majestic, curved design that was so gothic and bold, showing itself out as a definite Elven creation. The groundwork was made of marble, well kept and unblemished by the power of the Arcane. The buildings were large and seemed to be set in a railway fashion, each building having two exits, leading along a single path to the main construct, the Sunwell. The Shattered Sun had moved in to reclaim the area, and ocassionally a watchman would walk past, nodding his head at the group. Dranzai was amazed at the discipline of the Elves present, too busy staring at the majestic glory of the Plateau to notice Alathios slip a tablet into his mouth.
The Sunwell room was large and darkened, the only light source coming from the Well itself. After reaching the bottom rung, where the Sunwell lay, they found Anexxias and the rest of the group. The Ranger was on his knees, scrabbling at the ground, mumbling incomprehensibly. The rest of the group looked on in concern. Dranzai, having had experience with what happens when Anexxias suffers from withdrawal, was quick to act. Picking the limp Elf up onto his shoulder, he briskly ran him to the Sunwell, and set him down, ignoring the numerous protests from the Elves present.
Is there anything else you would like to add, ask, or otherwise clarify?:
Could I possibly get a general idea of the favoured faction on this server? I'm assuming that it's Horde at first glance, but you never know. Thanks for your time!
