Karlossus9`s Introduction
#1
First and foremost: Tell us about yourself, as a player.:
I am what I consider to be an observer who tests opportunity before leaping into it, though I tend to become outlandish and take leading roles as I progress in communities. Consider it a test of time; I let the community get to know me and let myself know it, before taking the situation by the horns and leaping forth in an attempt to take leading roles and make my mark. Though I can be slightly egotistical and assholish at times (I'll admit) I like to think I try to be nice, yet perhaps a little too forgiving at times.

The first game I played was the original Doom on my mother's PC (Yeah, my mother played Doom. Badass or what.) when I was quite young indeed. After that, I truly got into gaming, receiving the first computer I could call my own around the age of seven or eight. From there, I primarily enjoyed first-person shooters, finding myself to be quite adept at them in general as well as making online friends regularly, and this is roughly the point where I became a bedroom hermit and constant what I considered to be 'hardcore' gamer. I was mostly interested in online play, and branched off into other games as I grew older from there. When I eventually discovered World of Warcraft around TBC release I took to it immediately, and by this time I was a fairly seasoned roleplayer. The roleplaying aspect was, to me, always the best part. I loved the lore and committed what I could to knowledge; and have considerable experience in the field (in my opinion.)

What country do you come from? What is your primary language?
I was born in Edinburgh, Scotland in the United Kingdom, coming from an entirely Scottish family, and have lived there ever since. English is therefore naturally my primary language and the only one I can speak fluently.

How did you get into Warcraft?:
Once upon a time, quite a few years ago, I played Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos, and enjoyed it thoroughly. As I completed the campaign and various other aspects of the game and got into custom games, map editing and all that jazz I felt I grew a special place in my heart for Warcraft and Blizzard, building up some form of knowledge in the lore and enjoying it thoroughly.

The first true roleplay I took to and enjoyed was a small, private community of people who played Half-Life 2 who would later become friends whom I still talk to now, five years later. My first true introduction into roleplay was upon Garry's Mod, a Half-Life 2 freeform sandbox modification. This allowed us many things the vanilla game couldn't offer; and I enjoyed this extremely. (I still play the game now, which is no longer a mod and is now a retail game.) Myself and my new friends within the community would frequently roleplay a couple of days within the week, and I learnt the ropes of roleplay the hard way.

However, that roleplay was science fiction, and I had always known that fantasy was more my style. The community later branched into several more forms; roleplay scenarios that I and the other members made up on the spot in varying genres and conditions, that eventually built up into stories and lore worthy of novels.

When I discovered World of Warcraft, I immediately joined a roleplaying realm, Sporeggar. There, I roleplayed as a Blood Elf male warlock sparsely, before eventually creating my 'main': Grimmax, Male Orcish Warrior. Here, I joined a full roleplaying guild: Thunderfury Clan. Many great moments were had, most of which I can't recall now.

Later, I hosted my own private roleplay servers for a while; before realizing that I was far too ambitious to take on the whole charade. So I ended up looking for a true, serious Warcraft roleplay server and well, here I am.

What made you seek our server over others?:
Mainly the fact that this is the only true private roleplay server that I could find; and has the serious (albeit in my opinion TOO serious) attitude that I require to properly enjoy a civil roleplay experience. Not to mention the fact that I played here almost a year ago, and enjoyed it thoroughly, though it was less active. Seeing that it is now more active, I'm here to give it another shot.

What kinds of roleplay do you enjoy?:
Generally, I enjoy calm, around the camp fire roleplay with my adventuring friends, with a small amount of people. However, there's nothing quite like lecturing crowds of avid listeners upon the beliefs of my character, something that I consider to be a strongpoint, as well as roleplay in which I lead a group of people to achieve a certain goal, whichever that may be.

What is your favorite race/class? Why?:
I have no favourite race or class. I find myself able to roleplay effectively and comfortably in most situations, and when i'm not comfortable I make up for it in some form. (Or attempt to!)

What are your expectations of this server?:
Well, as previously stated I have played here before; I roughly know what to expect. The same serious attitude to roleplay, the same hospitable welcome in all of my ventures into the fray, and a new expectation would be greater activity on the servers. I have had a couple memorable times here in the past, and I am looking to have new ones.

Out of all of our rules and regulations listed on our server, which appeals to you the most?:
Respect. A thing so many other roleplay communities have lacked in my experience.

Lastly, tell us a story! It can be short, it can be long; but most importantly, we want to see your work in action. Go!:
Apparently this is not required until I move up to Gruntship. It's 1 AM and i'm feeling pretty uninspired, so I intend to do it then when I have a true story to tell which I can develop upon by the time i'm a Grunt. (I assume.)

Is there anything else you would like to add, ask, or otherwise clarify?:
I'd just like to comment on the unappealing over-seriousness this whole shabang gives me. I could be wrong and it could have changed, but damn, the process of being 'accepted' seems to be lengthy and tedious. Entirely the reason I haven't come here at many points before now, despite the fact that I was previously here. However, you can disregard this comment, because I am an extremely lazy man. This gripe is to be expected, eh?

Welcome! We understand it's an imposing front for the server, but it sure as hell does enough good to be worth it. Well, we're pretty sure it does.
