Not really.. They don't exist in Conquest of the Horde. They aren't alive, they aren't real, there is nothing of the Pandaran. They aren't there. You might as well forget you ever read that piece of lore, because it isn't implanted within CotH.

Currently, in CotH lore, the only race that knows of the Pandaren are, LE SHOCKER, Night Elves, since they both existed on the same continent WAAAAAY back when. Course, not all Night Elves know, since their full of druid gits who are asleep in the dream all the time (oops, did I say that?).

And if they DID make it a playable race, that would only PROVE that Blizzard has completely taken a shit on their own lore because, well, Pandaren think the quarrels of the Alliance and the Horde are retarded and refuse to get involved ever again (check the lore site if unsure, I believe it's there) and will stay on their isle of PANDARA!

It was long ago that I read this interview...but allow me to give a brief history of Pandaeran.

In short, the Panda men were orginally an april fools joke made by a blizzard designer during the era of Warcraft 3. People liked this idea and soon they added Pandarean to the expansion of WC3. Chris Metzen decided to create extra lore for them during WoW, probably just for fun, but with no real intent to give them a major role in the game.

EDIR: How Pandaeran came to be? It was actually just an inside joke between designer of Blizzard Sam Didier, and his friends. Because he was I guess..."Big and furry" they gave him the nickname panda (because he wasn't that scary :P), then it went from there when Sam created them as a joke.

Ah, sounds good. Wish you still had a link or scrap paper from it but I'll google around sometime this weekend. Sounds interesting enough, I never liked those things.. Just didn't made any sense at all, despite what the lore states. At least, not to me. ;> But hey, people should like what they want to like.. or something along those lines. /tired.
