NecreousNilheim`s Introduction
#1
First and foremost: Tell us about yourself, as a player.:
I've been roleplaying for a few years. I started some time in 2005 and I've been RPing ever since, on Forums and in games. Sometimes I would even roleplay in custom maps for Warcraft III, like SotDRP. It was fun for a while, but Warcraft III roleplays get boring fast with all the trolls and people who just can't roleplay.

I'm not hard to get along with; I'm very agreeable, but I have my own opinions on things too. I'm usually very optimistic and I have a pretty good sense of humor, if I do say so myself.

I've been gaming since I was little; about 4 or 5 years of age. I'm even looking to pursue a career in game design and programming. I'm more in FPS and RPGs, but I'm pretty adaptable to most other genres of games.

What country do you come from? What is your primary language?
Good ol' USA, born and raised. Obviously, I speak English. I'm also taking a few classes to learn modern Spanish, but I still know very little.

How did you get into Warcraft?:
I started playing Warcraft II and it's expansions before I played Warcraft III and it's expansions. My dad got me into the two RTS games and I've loved the story ever since. A few weeks before The Burning Crusade came out, I started to play World of Warcraft and found it to be even more amazing and fun that it's RTS counterparts. I had to quit retail a week before Wrath of the Lich King due to money issues, but I private server hopped a lot and found that none of them were roleplaying, which I found very disappointing. But I still had my fair share of mindlessly fun PvP and adventurous / epic PvE raiding.

What made you seek our server over others?:
I can to Google, type up "private servers" and find an endless list of PvP, PvE, etc. servers. Conquest of the Horde stuck out from the endless crowds of conformity by being a legit and very real ran roleplaying server. I've always loved roleplaying in WoW, so I just had to make an account.

What kinds of roleplay do you enjoy?:
I love all types of roleplay. I'd rather not do romantic roleplays, but I've been involved in a few over the years. I'm more fond of group roleplays, but I'm still game for paired roleplays. I also love adventure and action more than anything.

What is your favorite race/class? Why?:
Favorite race and class? That'd have to be the Forsaken Rogues. I've always had a love for the undead rogues. They creep, crawl, cackle and kill. They're very dark and very shady and some can be extremely cunning and cruel.

What are your expectations of this server?:
I honestly expect to find a good group of roleplayers and pretty just staff. I wanna see some good ol' roleplaying and roleplayers!

Out of all of our rules and regulations listed on our server, which appeals to you the most?:
Out of all the rules, it'd be the respect rule. As you can probably imagine, private servers can have unruly and annoying people and just as easily have uncaring and ignorant staff. I can't count how many times I've logged onto a private server and got some massive flamage from Horde, Alliance, and staff for no real reason.

Lastly, tell us a story! It can be short, it can be long; but most importantly, we want to see your work in action. Go!:
It's not much; just something I wrote in my spare time:

Bugs buzzed all around and the smell of sludge and mud was everywhere. The marshes weren't a pretty sight; mud and corpses adorned the area and the wilds were overgrown with unchecked vegetation. The sky couldn't even be seen; a green miasma blocked out the blue colors. Only sunlight managed to penetrate it.
“Ugh, it's so disgusting here.” whispered a female voice. “I can't take two steps without stepping in mud or on something squishy.” the voice protested. A small fly buzzed and landed on her check. She immediately slapped it and wiped her hand on her leather pants.
“Quit complaining. We're here for a reason, Jeralynn.” A man dressed in leather hiking gear walked up next to Jeralynn. He sighed and looked off into the swampy marshes, unable to see very far with the green haze everywhere. He scratched the brown stubble on his face in thought. “I have no idea where we are.” he whispered bluntly. Jeralynn looked at him with a very annoyed face.
“What?! You just said you knew exactly where we are! You said you knew these marshes like the back of your hand.” She protested. The man said nothing as he pulled out a weathered map and started tracing paths on it.
“Well, we're here, I think… And I think the ruins are over here… Maybe.” He said with doubt heavy in his voice. Jeralynn groaned in annoyance.
“You're hopeless, John. You told me it would fun. It would be great to find those ruins and hopefully figure everything out who the ‘temple guardians' are. But no! This isn't fun! We're lost in a nasty, sticky and disgusting swamp and I'm probably going to be swollen with bug bites after today…” Jeralynn complained. John just looked at her and rolled her eyes.
“Jeralynn, getting there is the fun part. The ruins are the reward.” He rolled up the map and placed it back in the map case, which he slung over his shoulder. “He should get moving again.” He started towards the hazy, swampy forests. Jeralynn looked around in slight fear and sighed with anger.
“Fine! Just don't leave me here alone!” She ran after John, staying close to him as he marched through the thick and cold mud.

The mud sloshed and stuck to their thick boots as they slowly marched through the thick marshes. Each step they took into the marsh, the green haze became thicker and thicker; the trees grew closer and closer to each other; but the mud and filthy water seemed to lessen.
“See? It's not so bad. At least there's no mud here. But I can't see two feet in front of me…” John said reassuringly. Jeralynn scoffed with disbelief and continued to look around in slight paranoia and fear. A quiet but angered growling seemed to come from behind her and she jumped, looking over her shoulder.
“John, are we close at all? I'm starting to hear things…” she said fearfully. John just laughed a bit.
“Don't worry, my dear. It's just some of the animals. They'll leave us alone as long as give them the same luxury.” He smiled as he continued confidently. Jeralynn continued to look around with fear, growing more and more scared with each step. The growling grew louder and louder until she finally couldn't handle it anymore.
“John Allen Ransfield! There is something behind us!” she practically yelled. John sighed in defeat and turned around.
“Jeralynn, there is nothing out there. But I'll go take a look anyways, just to calm you down.” He grabbed a flashlight from his backpack and clicked it on, letting him see a little further through the haze and started backtracking. “Just stay here. I'll be right back.” After a few steps, Jeralynn couldn't see John anymore.
“John? John! Don't leave me here!” she complained fearfully. Nothing answered her plea. She looked around in paranoia, hearing nothing but buzzing and the rustle of bushes and the sloshing of water and mud. She checked the ground around her to make sure it was dry – it was. She sat down and grabbed her canteen from her backpack and took a few sips from her water, waiting for John. Seconds felt like minutes – minutes like hours. Each second she grew more and more fearful. “John? John?!” she yelled out. Buzzing and far-off mud sloshing were all the answered her. “John!” she yelled again. This time, a low but enraged growling answered. She stood up immediately, dropping her canteen. “John! Is that you? This isn't funny!” she said angrily. The growling grew louder, and she took a few steps back. “I'm not joking, John!” she yelled again. The growling intensified. She squinted her eyes back into the miasma, trying to make out something – anything – that might be out there. “John? Is that you?” A loud grumbling noise came from the fog in response. She could barely make out a figure in the haze. “John...?” A gurgle and a groan were the response, the growling coming from behind the figure. A hand reached out from the ground, grasping and clawing as it dragged a body with it. The arm was cut and bleeding in several places, with welts and boils adorning it. “JOHN!” she yelled. She got ready to help him when she saw him clearly and took a few steps back and tried not to get sick.

John's face was covered and swollen with claw marks, large boils and warts covering his face. The skin around his eyes were so swollen, his eyelids couldn't open properly. His cheeks were grotesquely swollen with the boils that he could only make moaning noises. His entire body seemed to be adorned with the boils and bloody claw marks.
“John! My god, what happened?!” she asked frantically. John only responded with a gurgle, unable to speak. “Hold on, John, I-I'll call for help…” Jeralynn pulled out a small cellular phone and open it, dialing a few numbers. The phone made a beep to warn her that there was no service. “Damn! I-I don't know what to do!” She looked back at John, who was desperately trying to speak. “What? I, I can't understand you, John.” John made a gurgling noise and finally managed to utter a word.
“R-run…” he managed to speak. Jeralynn looked at him with confusion as he collapsed from exhaustion, his breath coming in very shallow periods. She shook him a few times to try and wake him.
“John? John, please wake up!” Just as she started to frantically shake his unconscious body, she heard the growling loud and clearly from behind her. She stood up and slowly looked behind her, her eyes growing wide with horror. A large figure towered over her, vines and mud clearly covering the creature. It stood like a man, hulking and breathing heavily. Green haze poured from two large tunnels on its grotesque face that seemed interconnected with more tunnels and tubes all its body. Its face had no mouth, and its nose was presumed to be the two tubes where the haze poured from. Two large, empty sockets glowed a bright green as it stared down at Jeralynn. At the ends of its hulking arms where two large and disgusting claws covered in vines and green mud. With each exhale, more and more green fog poured from its “face.” Jeralynn fell to the cold ground, horror and shock overcoming her ability to move. The creature made a gurgling noise that sounded like a mocking laugh. As it knelt in front of Jeralynn slowly, she felt her eyes close and fell unconscious from shock, leaving her and John to the temple guardian.
