scarletwarrior27`s Introduction
#1
First and foremost: Tell us about yourself, as a player.:
Well, what can I say... I haven't played WoW much. I played a couple of trials a while back and a bit (very small) on my friend's registered account. I liked the game, but I was not really interested in paying for the full game. However, earlier this year my friend joined a private server (this one in fact!) and has had nothing but good things to say about it. I still wanted to play and so, I ended up here.
As for a bit about me, I consider myself pretty literate. I love reading and enjoy pretty much anything outdoors. I have been told that I am a good writer when I get into it and have written a few short stories.

What country do you come from? What is your primary language?
I hail from the noble land of igloos and polar bears, or more commonly Canada. The West Coast and proud of it! As for languages, I primarily speak English (fluently) and I also dabble in the vociferation of Pig Latin *laughs*.

How did you get into Warcraft?:
How did I get into WoW? The same friend who introduced me to this server also introduced me to WoW itself. I was pretty much hooked right away and after said incident went through three or four trial accounts (sad, eh?). Eventually I got bored of killing some random level five quest monster for the seventh time and "retired" from the game.

What made you seek our server over others?:
Well my friend, aforementioned, told me that this server was really good and had a good crowd so I came here to check it out. The RP aspect seems to be a bonus. I have never really RPed before, but I am definitely willing to try. I have always had a good imagination and I have been told on numerous occasions to go into a drama class so perhaps these skills will be a benefit on this server (providing I get in, of course).

What kinds of roleplay do you enjoy?:
Hmm.. Well I have never really done much in the way of roleplaying but I figure, from reading around, I am probably a tavern-type RPer as I like to sit down and see what's going on, but I might enjoy some action RP as well.

What is your favorite race/class? Why?:
Tricky, tricky... Hmm, I think I personally connect with Night Elves or Tauren, as they are both pretty laid back and they go with the flow. The Night Elves are also pretty secluded which appeals to me in a way because I am not the most social person you will meet but I do like to go out every so often and have some good times. The Tauren and the Nelfs also have this spiritualistic sense which I admire, but don't really follow so it's just a personal quirk. I have always wanted to play a Blood Elf so that's probably going to be first and foremost on my list. Why? Call me strange, but they remind me of people in this book I read and ended up being attached to, but again that's just me. As for a class I liked being a hunter because of the pet aspect (which is about the only skill I got during the trial) and the rogue because he's so sneaky. *smiles*

What are your expectations of this server?:
Really, I am just hoping to have some rip-roaring good times. You know, make some friends, spend some gold, kill some dragons. It's all in a day's work, yes?

Out of all of our rules and regulations listed on our server, which appeals to you the most?:
I think of all the rules and regulations I am very pleased with the rules about language, tolerance, cheating, and ... actually, come to think about it, I am pleased with all of the rules. I can't stand players on some other games who lose their cool about trivial matters, or get all up-in-your face for no reason. I am also pleased to see that cheating in not strictly prohibited. Cheating to be better is another aspect of some gamers that is very unimpressive and totally unneeded.

Lastly, tell us a story! It can be short, it can be long; but most importantly, we want to see your work in action. Go!:
Creeping up slowly on the camp, Kar'zad al'Telzain began to truly notice how bad the goblins smelled. The miasma which rolled over him layered the air with the stench of rotting meat, decayed vegetable matter and sour sweat. Almost within distance to begin his attack, the assassin paused and ran over his plan once more. There were eleven goblins in total. Two guarding the tent, five by the fire, the leader in the tent, sleeping, and three patrolling the perimeter of the camp. The sword would be in the leader's tent and the gem would most likely be with the leader himself. Rechecking his tools for the seventh time that night Kar'zad began his approach. Pulling out his dagger, he slit the first and second guard's throats, looked for the third and found him sleeping against a rock. Cutting his throat as well, he crept closer to the camp with the faint sounds of the goblin's gurgling attempts to breathe falling quiet behind him. Hiding in the shadows of a tent the assassin pulled out a smoke spell, his blowpipe, and two needles. Muttering the activating incantation, he threw the spell, then quickly pulled out the blowpipe, loaded a needle and shot the first of the two guards in the neck. Ducking back into the shadows, he loaded the second needle and shot the second guard. The first guard was already on the ground convulsing from the toxin in his veins. pulling out his dagger and his dirk Kar'zad started after the last three goblins however, unlike the previous five these were on guard. Approaching still unseen he threw his dagger catching one of the goblins in the chest and pulled out a second. Then one of the goblins noticed him and pointed at Kar'zad while yelling in a coarse guttural language. The goblins all rushed at him, their short swords drawn. Parrying the first strike with his dirk, Kar'zad kicked the first goblin in the chest, spun, and stabbed a second in the eye. Pushing the body away from him he went into a backwards roll to come up with the three remaining goblins begining to encircle him. Rushing at the one closest him, he threw a withering barrage of cuts and stabs at the goblin and quickly overcame the goblin's poor defence, bringing it down with a mortal stab to the chest. The remaining two started to back away with fear in their eyes. Then with a wild howl the orc leader burst out of the tent and ran towards Kar'zad madly swinging an axe in both hands. Pulling yet another dagger out with his dirk hand, Kar'zad threw the dagger at the oncoming orc, catching him in the thigh. Hearing a faint whistle Kar'zad bent and spun around barely parrying the sword inches from his neck. In quick succession Kar'zad knocked the goblin's sword away with his dagger, cut off the goblin's sword hand at the wrist, and stabbed the goblin in the chest. Kicking the corpse away he looked for the last goblin. He spied it running away across the plain and dismissed it from his mind. Turning back to the orc leader, Kar'zad began walking towards it. The orc raised it's axe and swung visciously at Kar'zad as if meaning to cleave him in two. Easily evading the axe, Kar'zad stabbed the orc once, twice, three times in the chest before backing away and pausing. As the orc's final breath left him Kar'zad walked up, and searched the orc's person. Finding the stolen gem Kar'zad walked back to the tent, from which the orc had emerged. Stepping over the bodies of the goblin guards he had poisoned he ducked into the tent and found the sword lying on the floor the tent. Buckling it onto his belt he walked back out, collected his daggers, and began the walk back to his camp.

Is there anything else you would like to add, ask, or otherwise clarify?:
I have a question about the death aspect. If your character dies more than a certain amount of times then you have to make a new one? If so, does this apply everywhere?
And though I have read through the rules and the "Avoiding OOC Drama" page I had just a simple bit of confusion. IC is for when you are doing a raid/quest/battleground sort of thing and OOC is for general chat and the LookingForMore function? And then OOC is not role playing, but can be roleplaying but IC is strictly roleplaying, correct?

Oh and one other thing. Before "Gruntship" and the instant 80 levelling we can do questing and adventuring like in Blizzard WoW?
A few quotes...

Only in nature does one truly live.
Some stories don't have a clear beginning, middle, and end. Life is about not knowing, having to change, taking the moment and making the best of it, without knowing what's going to happen next.

Spoiler:
Welcome to Conquest of the Horde! I am Walluce and I hope you have a fantastic time here on the server!

To answer your questions IC stands for In Character, which means you are currently RPing. You can run instances and enter battlegrounds OOCly (Out of Character)all you want, in fact in many cases your character would be IC'ly unable to clear an instance. A few random adventurers versus an army of defias for an example(Vancleef instance)would be killed on entering Moonbrook. All public chat channels such as Chat and LFG are OOC, which means you do not roleplay in those. We tend to limit RP to /say and /emote.

And yes, you can do quests and such all you want.

If you have any other questions not answered on the Wiki please feel free to PM a GM. We are a helpful lot!

Hope to see you in game!
