OhSnap`s Introduction
#1
First and foremost: Tell us about yourself, as a player.:
I am Male, 19 years old, 20 next month. Finished education, work full time in a shop. So only have around 6 hours each working day to waste on hobbies, games and social events. Because of the shortage of time, I collect games as a hobby , and only play games with friends. So I am a very social gamer, I have normally avoided pc games and played console because I felt it was harder to get into then having a controller in your hand and shouting. However I want to play with new people from other countries, and the PC makes that a lot easier.

What country do you come from? What is your primary language?
I live in Norway, however my English is better then my Norwegian. This is because I love to read English books ( Books written in English, not "Harry Potter" English. ) , on the other hand I have -no- idea how to speak English so if you hear me on Skype or something similar you will not understand a word I say.

How did you get into Warcraft?:
Well, I am not really much into Warcraft ( yet ). However I have read some lore, and I really want to learn more! Especially about the Human culture, how they manage to live and how they are affected by all those strange races , beasts, religions and magical powers around them.

What made you seek our server over others?:
I was watching some videos about WoW cataclysm while my gaming friend was over, I told him "Maybe I should try wow, it looks pretty nice now!". He told me about it, and I was kinda put off when I heard "months of leveling - lots of kids - Only focus on gear". Being a person who loves to get sucked into the game and enjoying the atmosphere, being there sounded about as fun as working three hours more each day for no pay. I figured the closest thing to "enjoying the atmosphere and acting like the character" was roleplay, however I have never actually roleplayed seriously, I avoided DnD back in the day because the group I found was not consistent, or for that matter serious about roleplay. My kind of "roleplay" was to enjoy the story, get a kick out of the events that take place and feel like my actions, especially the verbal ones affected the world. Used my trusty google, and this site came up along with a few others. This one seemed legal in the start, registered and checked the forums...And it was actually better then I expected, lots of guides, delicious rules and stories everywhere.

What kinds of roleplay do you enjoy?:
Roleplay that drags you in and heats things up, things like diplomacy, adventures and grand scale events.

What is your favorite race/class? Why?:
So far, I figured I should start as a Human for anatomical reasons. Should be easy to get into since I am a human, so I only need to focus on the history with them instead of what they can and cannot do. As for class, I would love to start as a normal citizen with experience in shooting things with bows. Closest thing would be hunter.

What are your expectations of this server?:
Not much, only expect mature players and a consistent story in the world. I am more worried of exactly how much is expected from me, being new to both World Of Warcraft and serious roleplay.

Out of all of our rules and regulations listed on our server, which appeals to you the most?:
"Be respectful. At all times. This is not optional. Show respect to your fellow players, regardless of their faction or affiliation. We are all playing this game to enjoy it, and being rude or disrespectful to another player does not enhance anyone's enjoyment. If it enhances your own enjoyment, you undoubtedly do not belong on this server. Being respectful is easy enough if you think about it. Even players that you dislike or seem unable to get along with can be treated with respect. When all else fails, the IGNORE filter is in place for a reason. " This - Even enemies have managed to respect each other, it should be a given for strangers. ( Example of what difference respect makes - http://img404.imageshack.us/img404/9362 ... 447302.gif )

Lastly, tell us a story! It can be short, it can be long; but most importantly, we want to see your work in action. Go!:
Wish to complete later - Want to make a long story, but at the same time be sure this place is alright with me joining to avoid spending hours/days on making a long story.

Is there anything else you would like to add, ask, or otherwise clarify?:
Only if this is the right place to start roleplaying, since I have seen you are on a very high level. If you want to avoid teaching me the basics, I can start on a less rp focused server and come back when I am better.

Oh yes! I LOVE teaching people the ropes, actually! So, any questions, give me a PM or whisper one of my characters in-game!

Welcome to CotH!

PS: Other people work too. Especially Cressy. She's cool.
