rangarkash`s Introduction

First and foremost: Tell us about yourself, as a player.:
I'm a very big fan of roleplaying games, where you actually get to roleplay. One of my greatest gripes with retail WoW servers was the lack of support Blizzard gave to dedicated RPers, as I couldn't help but feel the lore they had invested so much on was simply not being tapped into to improve the gaming experience. Before WoW, I had played a RPI MUD, which I left both because of waning interest and the timezone differences which forced me to play way past my bedtime if I wanted to RP.

What country do you come from? What is your primary language?
I am Portuguese, and my primary language is... English. Save a few very specific vocabulary areas, I'm usually more comfortable with English than my mother tongue, on account of the time I spend reading (and writing) in the language.

How did you get into Warcraft?:
A friend of mine asked me if I wanted to play DotA, and so I installed Warcraft 3. I started playing the WC3 campaigns, and later on played WoW for a while. I gradually became addicted to the game, and naturally drifted towards RP servers.

What made you seek our server over others?:
The fact that it's a roleplay server, and.. The fact it was the first that came up in the Google search. That said, I looked over the rules and such, and it seems a very promissing server.

What kinds of roleplay do you enjoy?:
I prefer roleplaying with a select few characters that my own char has become acquainted to. With them, all kinds of roleplay can come alive with ease.

What is your favorite race/class? Why?:
Orc warrior. It's a simple, traditional combination whose power has been proved in innumerable battlefields across Azeroth.

What are your expectations of this server?:
My expectations are, a place to have a good time playing WoW, RPing in a stimulating environment, and just play the way I want without pressures to level up and grind.

Out of all of our rules and regulations listed on our server, which appeals to you the most?:
Maturity. It is pretty much a pre-requisite for complying with every other rule.

Lastly, tell us a story! It can be short, it can be long; but most importantly, we want to see your work in action. Go!:
The cloaked figure stood atop a tree branch, scanning the road below him. His leather outfit had been dyed brown, as well as his face scarf, which hid all features aside from his dark green eyes, the same color of the woolen cloak that loosely covered his body. He enjoyed his duties; looking at dull farmers on a horsecart off to peddle their wares, oblivious to his presence, brought him a predatory satisfaction, like a hawk watching a rabbit overhead. That afternoon, however, he was intrigued. The dirt road serpenting through the forest's uneven terrain was devoid of any travellers. Not even the patrol, ludicrously punctual, that ought to have passed through that spot two hours ago.

Waylayers seemed unlikely. That one road lead to Darsille keep, governed by a man as dreaded as he was paranoid. Any trouble around his lands would've been dealt with harshly, and he wouldn't stop until every robber had been hanged. Perhaps a quarintine? The figure pondered heading over to the nearest town and use one of his personas to get an answer from an innkeeper. But his master would demand a full report once he returned, and he dared not omit a happening that he had not witnessed. And so he did not move away from his tree branch.

He removed his scarf for a moment, and ran his hand over his red goatee, that grew neatly over his tan, narrow features. He was growing thirsty, and so he took out the waterskin hanging on his belt. A few gulps of water would take care of that. He took his time savoring the liquid, a short break from his unusually tedious assignment. As he lowered the waterskin, the distant ruffling of leaves brought him back to a state of alert. Perhaps it was just an animal, hastily escaping something it deemed a threat. However, his gut feeling begged to differ. He took a moment to prepare his mind, and directed his gaze to where he knew the sound came from.

The man's jaw tightened, and his vision tunneled and zoomed to the distant spot. He looked at them... Soldiers, walking in tight formation through the narrow track across the forest hill. It was hard to make out their equipment exactly, but it did not take much strain to identify their crest. He had seen it, so many times. The hateful crow-winged dragon, coiling around a globe. He resisted his urge to curse, and concentrated. At this stage, even the slightest eye movement could make him lose sight of them, and his art was taxing on the mind. And he had spotted a rare prey, walking amidst the soldiery. A figure clad in a dark robe, with a representation of the crest in gold walking with staff in hand. A smirk took form on his features broke his focus, and his vision forcefully returned to normal. Just as well. He would have some fun this day after all.

He took some time to recover from the stress imposed on his vision, gingerly rubbing his eyes. Then, uncompromisingly, the man sprung to action. Nimbly, he leaped out, and towards another branch. His agile movement barely registered in the fluttering of his cloak, insignificant to any of the forest creatures that would be watching him. He landed at another branch, and leaped off almost immediatelly, coming closer to his mark. His chest tightened in anticipation, as he approached the soldiers, closer and closer to the cloaked man... He drew a machete from its sheath, and uncerimoniously dove towards the unsuspecting foe.

The sound of metal cleaving flesh and bone was all that alerted the guards to his deed, and by then it was too late. The machete had cut deep into the torso of the cloaked man, who looked at his aggressor in surprise and disbelief. He gurgled out the beginning of a sentence to no avail, choking in the blood pouring into his lungs.

One of the soldiers gasped, and fumbled as he tried to draw his sword. "An elf! Help Inquisitor Xanders, kill him!", shouted the troops' commander, face livid as he rushed to protect what was left of his charge's life. The elf smirked, kicking his weapon free and sending the Inquisitor to the ground. As the commander rushed towards him ahead of his troops, he nimbly grabbed a handful of dirt and threw it with uncanny accuracy into his eyes. The man groaned in surprise, and struck about wildly with his sword. The elf easily ran to place himself back to back with the now flailing enemy, and faced the rest of the soldiers, who seemed unsure of what to do.

"Captain, he's behind you!" Shouted one of the men. "I'll get him!", replied the Captain, turning with a wild swing of his sword, which the elf easily dodged accompanying the man's turn, and remaining in the same exact position of before. "Stop standing around and get him, damn you!", he growled out in frustration, attempting the complicated maneuver of rubbing his eyes clean with his shield-bearing hand. The soldiers looked at each other, unsure of what to do with the order. "Yessar!" Shouted one of the men, and ran towards his enemy.

The elf fought his desire to laugh heartily, as his foe's advance opened a gap in the circle of hostile men surrounding him. Intent on exploring the opportunity to its fullest, he darted off to meet him, skillfuly dodging his attack, and running past the circle before the other soldiers could close the gap. "Idiots." He thought to himself, running off to the cover of the woods.

Is there anything else you would like to add, ask, or otherwise clarify?:
If it's anything at all, I seem to have made a mess and submitted an incomplete intro. This is the real one, as you have probably deducted. Please accept my apologies.
