Kaidelan`s Introduction
#1
First and foremost: Tell us about yourself, as a player.:
Not a lot to say about me, unfortunately. I'm an eighteen year old Canadian college student, who spends a lot more time than he should admit playing video games, WoW and Guild Wars in particular. I got into roleplay a few years ago when I stopped playing Guild Wars for a bit and gave WoW a try, and have loved it ever since. I tend to favour Horde races(Read: Old Horde), trolls in particular, but don't take that as ‘omfg i haet blud elfs tey all bad arpee-ers'; I really enjoy Blood Elf lore, I just find I can't play a Blood Elf for very long without finding myself bored. Any race can be roleplayed, but it's the player themselves who decides whether the race is roleplayed properly and enjoyably, rather than just a brooding Sephiroth/Legolas/etc. Clone.

What country do you come from? What is your primary language?
I'm Canadian, (Eh?) and my primary language is English. I do speak an almost embarrassingly small amount of French, but don't expect me to be able to hold my own in a French conversation very well.

How did you get into Warcraft?:
As said before, I was initially a Guild Wars fan, but when it began to get stale I looked for a new MMO to play. WoW was the obvious choice, so I bought it, started playing, and really enjoyed it. I found myself getting more and more into the lore, and even went out and bought the WC3 Battle Chest so I could play through that as well.

What made you seek our server over others?:
A friend of mine recommended CotH to me, after I had ranted to him about how awful the roleplay on retail servers was. CotH certainly does stand out in how RP-focused you are, which is a definite plus for me.

What kinds of roleplay do you enjoy?:
Anything and everything. Often it depends on my mood, as does the type of character I'll want to play on any given day. Some types of RP bore me, (For example: Brooding blood elves or ‘comic relief' gnomes) but I won't let that stop me from RPing with people who play those types of characters.

What is your favorite race/class? Why?:
Race-wise I would have to go with trolls. They're rich in lore and culture, and it takes a dedicated roleplayer to play them as anything more than a Jamaican-accented orc. Class? Probably either shaman or rogue, if we're talking about trolls. Class generally depends on the race, for me; I would enjoy playing a troll rogue more than I would enjoy playing an orc one, though I would enjoy playing an orc warrior more than a troll one. Now and then I do enjoy playing alliance, particularly gnomes and night elves; I love Kal'dorei and Gnomeregan lore.

What are your expectations of this server?:
To never see anyone in Goldshire. Ever. In all seriousness, I'm hoping to find a community of dedicated roleplayers who know what they're doing and enjoy doing it. Oh, and no brooding-yet-obviously-ERP-focused-bloodelf-death knights.

Out of all of our rules and regulations listed on our server, which appeals to you the most?:
Your rules regarding OOC drama caught my attention right off the bat, considering how most retail-RPers like taking everything that's said IC to OOC and whining about it. I enjoyed reading Shademourne's Guide, as well.

Lastly, tell us a story! It can be short, it can be long; but most importantly, we want to see your work in action. Go!:
I think I'll use an old AIM roleplay I did with a friend of mine. The situation: A Sin'dorei thief, named Amusei, is in the process of using his friend, a Blood Knight named Ki'gai, to become a Blood Knight as well. His recent arrest and escape forced him to wear a disguise, and refer to himself as ‘Thysse', though anyone who had known Amusei would instantly recognize his bone-white skin. A group of Sin'dorei extremists had recently kidnapped Lady Liadrin, the Blood Knight Matriarch, and the blame had fallen on Sei's shoulders.

The young thief watched with green eyes as Ki'gai left and sighed, grabbing his shirt up from the floor and pulling it on, it was a bit stained with blood, but he didn't really have anything else to change into yet. He fixed up his hair and made himself look presentable before heading out of the house and walking out to the Sanctum, waving to the guards as he entered, though they really paid no mind to him. He asked one of them where the officer was, hearing he was in his chambers, Amusei nodded.
He headed downstairs and walked up to the door marked Officer Lucien and knocked lightly,"Officer?" He asked curiously,"It's Thysse." He said from the other side.
"Come in." As Sei entered, Lucien gave him a polite nod and a smile. He motioned towards a chair. "Sit, please." He sat opposite to Sei, eyeing him over once. "Now, I've got a proposition for you, Amusei." he smirked broadly as he spoke, "Don't think I didn't know. Awfully convenient for Ki'gai's long-lost brother-in-law to return from overseas just a day after you went missing. Not easy to miss your pale skin, boy." He shifted in his chair, still smirking. "Don't worry. I'm not going to kill you; I see the way Ki'gai looks at you, and I couldn't do that to him."
The young thief nodded ot the officer and moved to sit in the chair as he was asked, sitting calmly and looking at him with green eyes, though, one thin black brow arched as the officer offered a proposition. He snorted, which was soon followed by a chuckle, his eyes turning away. "What are you talking about, sir?" He asked, looking back to him with a sheepish smirk, trying his best to remain calm, but inside his nerves were on end and he was truly frightened.
He leaned back in his chair, fingers grabbing at the arms of it as a more serious expression crossed his face, bright green eyes focussing on the officer.
Though it was going to be hard for him to lie, his skin was pale, almost pure white, and it was an easily recognizable trait, he couldn't hide it.
"So what do you want with me..." He said.
"I'm no fool. I know you and Ki'gai had nothing to do with Liadrin's disappearance. You wouldn't be foolish enough to kidnap her, and Ki'gai would not allow you to, as much as he dislikes her for her treatment of him. Consider my proposal an apology for Liadrin's mistreatment of Ki'gai. He did not deserve what she did, even if he was lying about not knowing where you are. My proposal... If you and Ki'gai are able to locate Lady Liadrin and bring her back to Silvermoon safely, you will be forgiven for your past deeds." He sat a moment, watching Sei. "Make no mistake: The things you've done were bad, but certainly nothing deserving being killed on sight."
"I think Liadrin reacted a bit strongly to your escape. She's too proud to openly admit she let you get free, so she's prepared to have you killed to rectify her mistake."
The thief sat there and listened to what the officer had to say, taking in a deep breath and sighing as he watched him. Of course, he would take that proposal, but he'd never forgive Liadrin for what she'd done to Ki'gai. In truth, he'd hoped to someday get revenge for what she'd done, but now he knew that chance was gone.
"Fine." He stated plainly as he watched the other, “I'll bring your precious Lady back to you. Unharmed." He said, speaking in a calm tone, though inside, he was absolutely furious.
He crossed his arms over his chest loosely, “Now, the matters of my.. Blood Knight initiation." He said with a smirk, he wasn't going to give up being a Blood Knight just because his name would be cleared if he returned Lady Liadrin. There were still so many things he could accomplish being a Blood Knight, than being a lone street thief.
The officer raised a brow, as if confused. "You still wish to become a Blood Knight? I thought that was merely an excuse to get you in here without suspicion." He stood, walking over and leaning down, staring Sei in the eye. "Not sure if I trust you. You're skilled with a blade, and I'd bet your devotion to Ki'gai would prevent you from trying anything stupid, but I'd want some sort of proof of your desire to be one of us before I train you. Are we clear?"
The young thief looked at the officer, then glanced away, staring down at his nails calmly. He wasn't used to not wearing gloves most of the time. "And what proof is that, sir?" He asked, looking back up at the officer, thin black brows raised. "It should be proof enough that I'm bringing back your precious Matriarch. What more must I prove?" He asked, fingers going up to his chin as though to brush the goatee that had once existed there, only to be reminded that it was gone.
Though, he only wanted to join the Blood Knights because he had obvious mischief on his mind, he wasn't just going to let Liadrin get away with what she'd done, and he was going to get some sort of justification, some sort of revenge.
"I don't know. Find Lady Liadrin, then we'll talk about you becoming one of us." He motioned towards the door, "Dismissed. Do not worry, I won't blow your 'cover'. Until you return Liadrin to us, you will be Thysse to me." The officer returned to his desk and sat, obviously done with the thief.

Is there anything else you would like to add, ask, or otherwise clarify?:
