First and foremost: Tell us about yourself, as a player.:
Right well, I'll try for a moment to see myself as others do. Now with these restrictions, I would say that I am, funny, easy to get along with, very hard to anger, um...loyal...and uh... Right thats enough of that, I try to be modest even at times such as these.
I have played wow for a few years, done private servers for a few months, and roleplayed my entire life.
What country do you come from? What is your primary language?
I am American, and I speak English, a very small amount of French, an even smaller amount of Spanish, a considerably greater amount of German, a few words of Gaelic, and I can curse you off in Russian (but don't worry, I won't). I am most comfortable speaking English and will most likely abstain from conversation in other tongues.
How did you get into Warcraft?:
I don't rightly recall exactly, but I saw an add somewhere and was like "Oh, a free trial, well why not?" So I hop skipped from one server to another until I found a guild I liked.
What made you seek our server over others?:
Frankly, I just googled "Wow rp private server", but I have tried several private servers before and didn't like them very much, but from what I have seen of this website, I am looking forward to being given to opportunity to have my application reviewed.
What kinds of roleplay do you enjoy?:
I generally enjoy medium-scale battles, (small-scale battles are too small, and large-scale ones always have these people not paying attention and running around in pirate costumes.) For example, stuff like bridge battles, defend the tower battles...storm the beach battles. One thing I did a couple times that I absolutely loved was a kind of gladiatorial combat, where each person pitched in some gold and there were a series of one on one bouts with a ladder and gold prizes and all.
What is your favorite race/class? Why?:
Well, I had a lot of trouble finding a combo I liked, and I am still a little undecideratory on the matter, but I like Human Mage, Human Warrior, and paladins and priests are always great to roleplay.
What are your expectations of this server?:
Generally I don't like having set "expectations" of something, its tough to put to words but something about preconceived notions and how I rather let it astound me by itself. So I only really expect so far that this server is above the par of the other private servers I have been on in the past, because this is the only one so far with a application process.
Out of all of our rules and regulations listed on our server, which appeals to you the most?:
Well, I rather like the one about Respect, respect has always been pretty important to me because it is an essential part of fighting. You won't get much done if you don't respect your opponent, after all this individual(s) has come all the way here just so the two of you can have a proper fight and the least you can do is kill him with a little courtesy.
Lastly, tell us a story! It can be short, it can be long; but most importantly, we want to see your work in action. Go!:
A story...well alright...do I have to have made it up myself? Right. Lemme see what I can do... Alright, here are two pieces I did a while back, not too proud of em, but see how you like them, they are more poems than stories. Right, here we go.
A thousand sails, a thousand ships, approach the distant shore
Once again, we mortal men, are marching off to war
Each man's heart is strong as steel, his fear he does not feel
His brothers on his right and left, their shields within his reach
Side by side, all down the line, these men they storm the beach
The foe is massed upon the sand, their weapons in their hands
The armies clash, the shields they smash, the foe they make their stand
My boys have bled the waters red, today they've done their best
And those who fell, before the foe, have earned their final rest
We lay their bodies in the sand, here they sleep, in foreign land
A thousand graves, a thousand men, they did not die unknown
A thousand letters for me to write, to families back home.
And eres the second one...
My breath comes quickly, I cough up blood.
Onwards I stumble, terror grips my heart.
My shield is heavy, my helmet stifling.
Sweat and blood cloud my vision,
My pursuers are closing in,
I can sense them through the trees.
Slowly they approach,
They laugh and jest, to them it's all a joke
Confident in victory, they circle nearer
Like wolves they stalk their prey.
A smile cracks my parched lips,
I ask my ancestors for strength.
The ring of steel is closing in, I have not long to live.
I raise my battered weapons high and roar my battle-cry,
My life this day will not be cheap, I warn my enemies.
The laughter leaves their faces, their smiles flee their lips,
I welcome my enemies, I welcome my death.
Now I'm crumpled on the ground, my foes about me lie,
I'm ready to meet my gods, I am ready to die.
My lifeblood spills from my wounds, I won't have long to wait,
In my heart I always knew, no man can escape his fate.
My world is growing darker, the warmth it flees my limbs,
My heartbeat falters, and my vision dims,
I feel my death approach me, my enemies have won,
Yet here they lie dead around me,
Their victory was bought by blood.
