Alternate skins?
#1
I was in RFC the other day, and noticed the tauren Grimtotem NPC there... but... something was odd about him... he had skull warpaint!!! My jaw dropped because this is exactly what I've been looking for! And well, I also remembered a few other skins that don't seem to be available on a retail server, such as the undead-human cultist skin, and hairy chests, and orc cultists and all that other good stuff.

There is a custom patch where you can have Death Knight skins and hair colour as well as blue eyes for non-Dks, though I don't know where to get this patch as I got it by copying over WoW from my brother who plays on a server with that patch.

I too would love to have these skins. But they are skins not Tattoos that could be made into items. I don't see much of a way that we could have them in game. And even if you figured out how to do it, most likely only you would be able to see them, not others in the game.

I have been looking so hard to find a way for Tauren to have face paint.

Mmm, that would be great, face paint for Tauren.

I would like to comment on the fact you spelt alternative wrong.

This may have already been discussed but what about alternative Druid skins, is there a possibility to get those?

Aha, this is where I can prove you wrong... Sort of.. See if CotH gets the custom patch for the skins Kretol will most likely make an announcement saying "Here's the patch for DK skins and hair for non DKs" or something like that, then everyone downloads it and bada bing bada bong everyone can see the diffrence.

Although the blue DK eyes on Blood Elves make them High elves so if this patch comes to CotH I'd say put it in flagRSP that you have green eyes (that is if you have a DK-ish skin) and not blue.

It's easy enough to swap around skins/models on your own. Just pick and choose from the ones available, and don't expect other people to see them. They don't. So that kind of rules out playing races like High Elves and Naga. Do it to help along your own rp.

I changed my female Nelf model to resemble that of a Blood Elf, except with all the appropriate colors/tattoos/glowing. The reasoning behind this is that my character Kenarith is quite short and.. well.. chest-deficient. The Blood Elf model fits this requirement nicely.
Sadly, it also makes my other Night Elf female (Yamanu, a person who definitely does not fit into that physical description) and the rest of the female Night Elf population into little scrawny, elfy monsters who like to flounce.
The in-rp screenshots are my justification. In those screenshots, I can actually represent how she appears.

Here's an example.

How did you do that, Etmosril (what happened to sabrekab? QQ) ? I'd love to do something like this for a prestige character whose appearance will change gradually, it'd make for an epic character profile on the wiki!
