So I wants to ask

This server uses the ArcEmu emulator and GM commands, but are there any other details I should know about it script-wise? I want to see how it's different from the last private server I was on.

Also, because I am a horribly curious person.

I don't think anyone will answer this regarding the GM related stuff... Simply because certain people can find a way to hack into these type of dealings...

EDIT : But I could totally be missing what I'm talking about, so if so Sorry... just ignore my stupidity Xp.

If they were to hack, they'd be caught quite quickly.

Really, I don't know why you do wish to ask though. Perhaps you could specify your question by elaborating a little?

That'd be difficult to narrow down, seeing how I'm interested in all the ways this server differs from the basic ArcEmu.

I'm just an excessively nos-erm, curious person. Any and all information is good.

Rensin, no matter how full proof our GM team is, it is always possible. Never assume your enemy is standing still... every second we breathe so do they!

If someone wanted to hack a server to get GM commands they wouldn't need details. Besides the server detects it automatically thanks to updates in Arcemu, GM's in game will be informed if anyone tries any sort of hack. It's a server side thing.

It's -really- easy to catch hackers, especially if you know what you are doing. Most of the people who do attempt to "hack" gaming websites don't have formal training, and are using something very basic, and very easy to, well, for lack of a better term, "counter". Kret has some safety measures in place to detect that, alert him, and countermeasure.

Sure, there are ways that could get through, but nothing in what I can guarantee is most of our scopes of know-how with computers.

ArcEmu is a World of Warcraft server emulation core, and quite possibly the most widely-used one to date. ArcEmu updates both via a development team, and an active community, since ArcEmu IS of course Open-Source, like most free software.

ArcEmu, from my understanding uses two "main" databases from my understanding - logon and world. "logon" contains character and account information, while "world" contains most things relevant to items, world objects, NPCs, quests, and other assorted nick-nacks related and/or semi-related.

However, I have seen some ArcEmu servers employ a third Database, called "character", which seperates the character information tables from the "logon" database, effectively making it more organized, and overall easier to find stuff regarding characters and/or accounts.

tl;dr It pretty much emulates retail WoW servers, however lacking in quite a lot of stuff, which I assume could easily be corrected via Scripts.
