Aerandil`s Introduction
#1
First and foremost: Tell us about yourself, as a player.:
I've always wanted to find a game (not necessarily World Of Warcraft) in which the acronym MMORPG would actually have a meaning. MMORPG implies roleplay and I have to say that nowadays... very few games have Roleplay. I enjoy roleplaying, and from the very first MMORPG I have played I have always roleplayed. Why? Well.. Because I don't see the point of hitting monsters, leveling and randomly chatting. I think roleplaying makes games worthwhile. Examples of that are the Final Fantasy Series. I have to say that when I roleplay, I'm most likely to be mysterious ad full of surprises. I wouldn't say I'm a lone warrior/hunter/etc.. but more of a 'I'm going to pop up to help you when you lest expect it. Having played other MMOs and even been GM on some of them, I know how Roleplay works, how it develops and how everyone's story is as important as my own. What I like the most in roleplaying? The social part of it. You get to share a story instead of PvPing like crazy in any other server.

What country do you come from? What is your primary language?
I am french, but I've lived in the United States and so have learned English there. I am doing the final exams of the International Baccalaureate, after taking English as my primary language, hence improving it.

How did you get into Warcraft?:
Well, I've wanted to play World Of Warcraft for a long time, but my previous computer was not allowing me to as it was too weak to bare such a game. And so I have played low graphics games like Ragnarok Online. But I recently got a better laptop which allows to play World Of Warcraft. I have to say that I've never been very familiar with Warcraft, I've played Warcraft 3 and so on but I believe I still have a lot to learn and I hope you'll give me my chance. (I learn quickly!)

What made you seek our server over others?:
Your tag. This server is tagged with RP, and so it directly led me here.

What kinds of roleplay do you enjoy?:
I'm a Roleplayer wherever. I enjoy roleplaying at all times no matter where we are, but of course, what I am saying is directly linked to what I am doing and who is with me. For example, I ain't going to speak about the tavern for no reason while we are hunting some monsters.

What is your favorite race/class? Why?:
I have always loved Elves. I've always started with Night Elves as Hunter but I'd like to try a new class with a new race, maybe Blood Elf Warrior? Tauren Hunter? It's all up to my imagination.

What are your expectations of this server?:
I hope I'll find friendly and integrating players. I've done roleplay before and some roleplayers have sometime the tendency (at least on other MMOs) to be distant from any character they do no wish to see in their story. I believe we should all mix our stories. I hope that I've found the right community in which I'll be able to have fun and stay long. I hope I'll be able to make friends and enjoy being online without the obligation of grinding at all times alone. I hope I'll find helpful players which will be glad to help newbies like me through the World Of Warcraft.

Out of all of our rules and regulations listed on our server, which appeals to you the most?:
Humility & Maturity. The fact that we must all be aware of each other and never let our ego take over everyone else's story. It involves respect and understanding, and I think the line that stroke me most was: "Sometimes other players' characters need to shine, and it is your honor and privilege to stand aside and give them room in the spotlight." It exactly illustrates my idealogy of what Roleplay is and should be like. Sharing & Enjoying a wonderful game with endless possibilities.

Lastly, tell us a story! It can be short, it can be long; but most importantly, we want to see your work in action. Go!:
A story? I can't. My story grows with other people's. I do text stories, but after I've started playing with my character to reveal certain aspects of his personality and his past. Although, I have a character sheet which can reveal a bit of who my mysterious character is.

Name: Aerandil

Age: 11,028 years old.

Gender: Male.

Race: Night Elf

Class: Warrior [Mercenary]

Relationship Status: Single

Alignment: Mysteriously Neutral [But Tendency for Good, helped The Alliance at certain occasions]

Hair color/style: Grey-blue

Eye color/shape: Amber

Height: 1m90

Build: Average

Features: Scar on the right eye [from a stranger's perspective], gaunt cheeks, long untied hair.

Impairments: Light Sensitive, needs to wear a hood or helm when traveling through sunny regions such as the Barrens.

Garments/Armor: wears mostly dark colored armors but when in a good mood or when having made friends, he can change his armor color style. He always wears a sword on his back when he is not fighting but his manners can change according to certain situations and new meetings.

Physical Description: Tall, mysterious and proud. Loyal to whoever he is helping, modest at all times, but sometimes mysteriously disappearing after a fight. When around him you can sense his charisma but he will be warry of getting close to anyone, maybe someone will one day.

Weapon of Choice: Mostly Swords, but also Axes.

Mode of Speech: Eloquent, mildly accented, respectful. He usually speaks in Darnassian, but is quite good at Common, as well.

Personality: He is mysterious, he can be quite social at times but also a loner. He tends to 'close' himself, but has little difficulty speaking to a large crowd of people, if need be. He hates whoever tries to attack any weak person and acts accordingly. He has an undeniable respect for proper order, though his idea of 'order' is much different than that of most lawful citizens. He is quite easily deceived when other people disappoint him in social or in fighting.

Quirks: He always tries to see the positive side of others, but if someone attacks him, he'll attack back, if someone dishonors their promise, he'll punish that person. He's the leader type of person but can easily be part of a team without being a leader. The fact that no much is yet known of his past may annoy some people as he tends to be silent when asked about himself.

Professions: [None yet chosen]

Talents: Aerandil is a brilliant strategist, and so that is why he's a leader type of person. He is able to plan and predict the outcome of situations. He is also a wonderful persuader, and is usually able to convince people to work in his favour. But he is also loyal to people who befriend him and never fails to his promises. On top of this, he is a ladies' man, but as mentioned already, is hardly getting into a relationship, maybe he'll find someone that fits him one day, someone who he'll be able to open himself to.

Complications: He never accepts to work or help people who see themselves as superior. He is never arrogant and so never underestimate his opponents, although he can be quite bold when it comes to arguing certain facts with him.

Guild/Affiliations: Aerandil is associated with no guild yet. He must learn to trust in himself and trust others before he can join a guild.

Friends & Family: None. But is obviously in need of some affection.

Enemies: The Scarlet March, the Scarlet Crusade, Clan Aetherdyne, Nythian, Kitrina, Court of Shadows, the Warsong Clan, the Horde, the Exodar, Acherus, the Church of the Holy Light, the Naaru, the Sha'tar, the Scryers, the Aldor and anyone who go against his own moral beliefs.

Is there anything else you would like to add, ask, or otherwise clarify?:
I'm new to Warcraft. I would really like to have my chance to prove what I'm worth when Roleplaying. I learn quickly and so I'll gather information to make my story more and more interesting. I've already got ideas for other characters and I hope I'll be able to share my joy of roleplaying with this community. I want to learn, I want to play, I want to roleplay!
