ILGrimmreaper`s Introduction
#1
First and foremost: Tell us about yourself, as a player.:
Me? I'm not that important of a person, but a great meet if you do find yourself talking to me. I joke a lot, but rarely actually mean any harmful/hurtful things. I'm extremely friendly and well mannered and love people of the same aptitude to be as such to me. I give respect where respect is due, and try my very best to be as kind and humble, but like any other Human being out there, I have my moments of drama, and often feel superior. If someone ever finds me being as such, they simply have to inform me, and I will quickly apologize and put myself back in check.

What country do you come from? What is your primary language?
I was born in Texas, can't remember what town, but I do know that I lived there for about six years of my life until I eventually moved up to Idaho. I spent another three years there, until I moved to Washington(State) and my family finally decided to settle down. My languages I speak are as follows: English... I'm learning some Japanese, but I'm not very good at it and can slowly piece together polite sentences.

How did you get into Warcraft?:
I originally began playing Starcraft, until I finally payed attention to who made the game. Blizzard. Knowing that they made such a great game got me enough of a chance to eventually track down other games made by them. The first of which I tried was Warcraft 3, Reign of Chaos. My first play through had me addiction in ten minutes. After several years of Reign of Chaos I decided to move up the ladder to The Frozen Throne which was a huge improvement. I began to play online, all the wonderful custom maps they had for that game made me fall in love with many different genres of games. Role Playing Games was the biggest in my case as I found myself beguiled ever so much by the thought of playing another in a different time period. Through Warcraft Three the Frozen Throne's role playing services I made a bunch of friends that eventually recommended I play World of Warcraft. I never really had enough money to originally buy the game. A friend gave me a free trial once and I fell in the love with how it played. From there I learned role plays can be so much more than what it was in Warcraft Three, so I found some private servers. I found myself unable to go into details in my character due only to the fact that I knew little of World of Warcraft's lore. This I hope to correct at the time being.

What made you seek our server over others?:
I'm going to be very blunt here. A friend reccomended me to join a Vent channel I was not familiar with. I joined it, and found myself intrigued by those within it. I befriended them quickly because of how nice they were, and one of them mentioned "World of Warcraft" and "Role play." So naturally I wanted in on this. I asked her about it and she kindly supplied to me what I needed to get started. Her name is Loxmardin. Great gal.

--Edit--
Just found out Loxmardin is a girl. I had no idea when I first wrote it so I made the corrections. Sorry Loxxy!

What kinds of roleplay do you enjoy?:
I enjoy almost any kind of role play, dependant on my character, of course... I'm sure you've heard this almost a thousand times, but it's true. Role plays that I really enjoy are well directed and plenty of fun to be had. As for details, I like to mainly role play in groups of 4-5 people, that is what I prefer at the least. I can do bigger role plays, but things tend to get messy as the diversity of the characters often messes with one another bringing the role play to a screeching halt or a drudging crawl. I play DnD, recently got into that and what not, so I'm interested to see what kind've role plays are out there, and how I can join.

What is your favorite race/class? Why?:
My favorite race... That is a tough one in many ways as the races I tend to like are a bit bizarre to many. My first and foremost favorite are the noble Dwarven people. They are a strong, secluded race that has absolutely no problem conversing with others, so long as they've had a drink or two. As well as often being a drunkard race, I find it simply astounding how they tend to make the best of things when it comes to metal. Armor, weapons, siege machines... You name it, it was probably made better by a Dwarf. My second favorite race would probably be the Trolls, as I see them as a mystic, secretive race that can be powerful, but if not, are good at lying and say they are. When it comes down to it, the thing that intrests me the most about the Trolls is the whole concept of Voodoo, and the practice of magics. The class I prefer overall is the Rogue. From Shadow Dancers, to flat out Assassins, I can dig it.

What are your expectations of this server?:
I expect this server to have a populace full of respectful, mild mannered role players. Friendly, and helpful Game Masters that have no problem helping someone out whether it be for the more practical things, such as how to get items, down to the straight out newby things like who the Lich King is. (I know who he is, relax...)

Out of all of our rules and regulations listed on our server, which appeals to you the most?:
Maturity. Pure and simple. I often find myself being immature so I essentially need other mature people to help keep me in line, in a -MATURE- fashion. For instance, if I've done something completely unextroadinary and begin to brag and flaunt about superiority that is not there, I would like someone to respond like: "Please do not..." and so on. A person who knows me well will obviously know that I make jokes a lot, and most of them aren't entirely... How to put it, appropriate. So if you find anything I say offensive, simply let me know and I'll try my best to avoid saying anything like that again.

Lastly, tell us a story! It can be short, it can be long; but most importantly, we want to see your work in action. Go!:
The gentle rhythm of the rain against his metallic helmet kept him wide awake and aware to the foe that stood in front of him. The moonlight shined off his breastplate as he slowly unsheathed his bastard sword, admiring the sound of the rain pelting his blade. The savage of an Orc in his path snarled as if to challenge his honor. The Orc stood there menacingly, every muscle in his body tensed to show off the muscular form of his tribal life style. The sound of leather tightened around each of the bone axes in his hands as his knuckles almost went white from the tight gripping he did. In a flash the Orc lunged forward, his fur booth smushing the muddy grass as he rushed towards the knight, his axes swinging back and forth in a haunting manner. The knight responded quickly, lifting his sword to his side, and arcing it towards the savage rushing him blindly. The knight's metallic boots sank deeply into the grass, and his gauntlets seemed to flash in one fluid stroke of his large blade. The Orc had stood there, silently puzzled as how he was not hit, but could not move. The Orc looked down to realize his gut had been sliced open, and was now bleeding profusely. He dropped his axes as his life seemed to flash before his eyes, his hands gingerly patting his stomach to try and stop the bleeding, as futile as it may seem. He fell to his knees, writhing in pain and pride. He knew now, he would be joining his ancestors, his only regret, was that he could not take anyone with him. His body fell limp and slammed into the wet grass, as the knight simply wiped the blood from his blade and sheathed it again in an arrogant, mocking manner.

Is there anything else you would like to add, ask, or otherwise clarify?:
Never forget.
Influenza of 1918. The flu that almost destroyed America.

In any case! Here comes the mandatory welcome message, citizen!

Hello ILGrimmreaper! I'm Loxmardin and it's my pleasure to welcome you to Conquest of the Horde!

If you haven't already, I'd suggest that you double-check the rules and policies of the server on our very own CotH Wiki. If you have any questions, you should consult the Wiki and the available subforums which contain a fair bit of information ("Forum: Search" is your friend!) first but you are of course always welcome to contact a GM if you can't find what you're looking for, or ask on the forums!

The server is back up now, so since your introduction is approved you are free to go ahead and make a server account! C:

Have fun, enjoy your stay and see you in-game!

Happy RPing!
