SacredGeometry`s Introduction
#1
First and foremost: Tell us about yourself, as a player.:
My name is Brett, and I've been a four year old roleplayer on Neverwinter Nights 2's servers, after the public World of Warcraft RP servers failed to deliver a desirable RP experience, and helped create and run a few small servers as a hobby. After the latest server that just recently went down, I started to seek another vice for my roleplay. Since I've played World of Warcraft a while before Neverwinter Nights 2, and I really like the Warcraft setting, I started to search for a private server that would be a heavy roleplay setting, and I've found this place!

What country do you come from? What is your primary language?
I was born and raised in United States of America, and speak only English.

How did you get into Warcraft?:
My at-the-time girlfriend bought me World of Warcraft to play with her, and brought me to Lightninghoof in attempt to get me into roleplaying. Unfortunately, there was little to no public roleplay on that server, though I continued to play for the raiding and PvP.

What made you seek our server over others?:
The application process and overall heavy roleplay setting leaves me very hopeful for this server.

What kinds of roleplay do you enjoy?:
I enjoy a fair mixture of roleplay, with tavern RP being the majority, so you can meet with people and their interesting characters to build relationships. Then, purposeful conflict driven by interesting background would be a close second.

What is your favorite race/class? Why?:
I enjoy the undead, because the second life they're given leaves a lot of opportunity for ambiguous, unexplained, and/or interesting backgrounds. Warriors and Rogues would have to be my favorite class, because they're so aggressively average in a world covered in powerful wizards, warlocks, demons, dragons, and so forth.

What are your expectations of this server?:
I have very high expectations of this server! So far, this server has proven to be the most promising with the rules and regulations enforced.

Out of all of our rules and regulations listed on our server, which appeals to you the most?:
Everything listed under the roleplaying section of the rules to ensure the integrity of the roleplay, and immersion of the setting, really! I'd hate to admit that I'm a bit elitist, but I really enjoy super-immersive environments, and the rules that support this are rules that support my preferences!

Lastly, tell us a story! It can be short, it can be long; but most importantly, we want to see your work in action. Go!:
Bloargh, The Undead Warrior

"Bloargh," the undertaker said with a wheezing chuckle, speaking the first word to leave my lips during my second birth, my resurrection into the undeath. At least, that is the word he made from my vomiting the rotten, parasite ridden remnants of my stomach as I rolled out of my sarcophagus. I would not question it.

He asked for my name, as he wrapped his skeletal digits around the shaft of an old, splintered spade and leaned against it, smug, and annoyingly so. "Bloargh," I echoed in a daze, trying to piece together the more important matters at hand, like how I got here, who I am... what I am.

Fear, the logical reaction, was not the one I had. The terror of the unknown, the part of me that wished to know of my past, was overwhelmed by a larger, unexplainable feeling of purpose -- of destiny. I was not yet ready to remain dead from whatever end I would have suffered, as decided by whatever hidden powers returned my life as undeath, giving me great purpose.

To what purpose that is, I can not say. I will rely on time to reveal that to me. My parting words with the undertaker were brief.

"Was I buried with anything?"

"No," he replied plainly. He's clearly been through this before, but my second question caught him off guard.

"Where can I find work?" I said, knowing that I must be prepared for whatever destiny may bring. He responded with a simple lift and point of the finger, out the door and down the road.

This was the beginning, the death of whoever I used to be, and the birth of Bloargh, the forsaken warrior.

Is there anything else you would like to add, ask, or otherwise clarify?:
Can't wait to play!

Welcome!

I think I vaguely remember someone that had played on Lightninghoof. Is that an RP-PvP server?

Sure is! Though despite this, it was not very RP focused, and the majority did not roleplay at all.
