Wiseman`s Introduction
#1
First and foremost: Tell us about yourself, as a player.:
Well, certainly a broad question, but simple enough. As a player I've been RPing for years, since I was a kid you could say. I've always had an extremely active imagination and that's grown with me to this day. I enjoy a plethora of RPing styles, mediums, and formats, whether it be forum based, IM, LARP, in-game, or whatever else you can think of. I currently run a regular improv game at my home with some friends, me being the ST, while my players run about and attempt to solve the mystery I've been throwing at them. Fun times!

What country do you come from? What is your primary language?
I am from America, born in Illinois, and I speak English.

How did you get into Warcraft?:
As a young boy my father bought the game Warcraft 2: Tides of Darkness. I started playing it and eventually bought Warcraft 3 in my teens when it came out. I started playing WoW about a year after it started after a friend recommended it to me.

What made you seek our server over others? (or How did you find us?):
Google is your friend! I came across a link to this site while searching and checked out the wiki. As a site that seems heavily devoted to just a fun time with RPing and one based around respect and manners for fellow players, I felt that this was a place that would really suit my interests.

What kinds of roleplay do you enjoy?:
My, all those really do sound fun to me. Tavern play is great when you're in the mood for some casual chatter, but I have often seen it devolve into one bar fight to the next solely because people tend to get a tad bored. Fighting CAN be fun, if both parties can agree to a fun and mutually satisfying end, though I don't really like fighting for no reason; I like plot or character development.

Mystery, Action, Danger, all fun things when a plot is involved. I would whole-heartedly enjoy such things.

I like both Crowds and Pairs, and I think all kinds of mish mash's of players and groups can give a fun time, so long as everyone gets their fair share of the spot light. :]

Hope that answers the question!

What is your favorite race/class? Why?:
Oh, another hard question. I've always been fond of Undead, they give such a great opportunity for backgrounds and tragedy, though I have a soft spot for Trolls as well. As for class, I've always liked the Warrior for Roleplaying. A disgruntled guard, a mercenary, a duelist, the list goes on for the opportunity's the flexible warrior provides for Roleplaying. :)

What are your expectations of this server?:
Fun, of course. Fun and maturity that is! I like RPing with players who are mature and respectful. I think that the most important thing for RPing is communication, both in and out of character. If you are unhappy or uncomfortable with something, I think that people should feel comfortable with being able to send a whisper or just flat out in public say that something is uncomfortable or not right, and that fellow players should be respectful and listen.

Out of all of our rules and regulations listed on our server, which appeals to you the most?:
Respect I would say. Everyone deserves it. ^^

Lastly, tell us a story! It can be short, it can be long; but most importantly, we want to see your work in action. Go!:
RP sample, hm? Alrighty. ;)

--------------------

The window sills dripped of rain water and the windows rattled as the storm kicked up, the downpour appearing suddenly off the coast of Ratchet harbor. Folks hid in their homes, and, in the case of travelers, in the local tavern. They huddled around the fires, candles, and torches, some helping the local goblins to keep any leaks sealed up. Dry tavern better than a wet one after all.

The door swung open, the wind throwing it aside like a piece of paper, a large figure stepping in aside, a hood and cloak covering his body as he fought his way inside, pushing the door closed with no small effort against the harsh winds. As the door clicked shut, the figure pulled his soaked hood down, revealing a dark blue and tusked face. A troll, without a doubt. Strolling over to a coat hook, he put his dripping cloak on it, revealing a lighter traveling robe beneath it.

The figure stumbled over to the counter where a goblin sat cleaning a glass. The green figure glanced up at the Troll with a raised eyebrow.

"What can I get ya?" The goblin asked in a low grating voice. The troll looked down at the goblin, before saying a single word.

"Vodka." In his heavy accent. The goblin wordlessly pulled him a bottle plopping it down in front of him. The troll silently took the bottle, uncapped it, and took a gulp, life spreading back onto his face.

"Ah! That's the stuff!" He said with far more life than he had before. The goblin continued to clean his glass, occasionally putting it down and picking up another.

"So what brings you to Ratchet?" The goblin asked non-nonchalantly. The troll smiled down at the goblin, stroking one of his long pointy tusks.

"Well..."

And that's where I'll keep you in suspense. Hope that is satisfactory!

Is there anything else you would like to add, ask, or otherwise clarify?:
I hope to enjoy my stay here and eagerly await word from fellow members. :)
