Feedback: Your Basic Title - The Prologue!

Yup! You heard it! Feedback!

Despite the fact I have not been Rping as much as I use to lately, I still wish for people to tell me how I am going. I have nearly been here for a year (Since I posted my introduction) and I do hope I have become one of the community you all know and love. If you wish to pat me on the back, that is fine, but it may cause an unintentional expanding of my ego. You have been warned.

Anywho! Characters!

Marius Yursell, the Blood Elven Mage, known to be rather charming and seems to always attempt to weave his way to someones lips with nothing but simple words. He has had many bad things happen, mostly his own fault due to his promiscuity.

Sebastien Yursell, the Blood Elven Tinker, rather silly and seems to get himself into bad situations. Currently in a very debatable relationship but happy none the less. Often seen wearing a metal fish bowl on his head and was once called the 'Booty Bay Handyman' until I Rped him less.

Aurel Flamehawk, the Ghoul named Braindrinker, has my most favorite costume of all time and I never wish to take it off. The very silly, stupid, hungry, obsessed ghoul with a love for humanoid flesh is Sanya's pet and often called her 'Adoraghoul' OOCly by the player. Currently found a new friend, Tim the Womanizer, a skull.

Kraven, the Forsaken Death Knight, also known as 'Purity' which was a name he gained form a a Paladin he met and fought with in the Ratchet Arena. He seems to be too nice for what he is which people do not seem to mind. Also, much like Sebastien, he seems to be in a debatable relationship but, also like Sebastien, he's happy.

Desi Makarios, the Blood Knight Paladin, former Paladin of the Silver Hand, follows the three virtues of the Church of the Holy Light and may very well be the most humble Blood Elven Paladin there is. He follows the virtues as much as he can and is willing to help people when they require it but will not if it will impede their own personal growth. Pacifistic and refuses to hurt people.

There we are! My main characters. If you wish to comment about any more which I have no listed, feel free, I will not mind. Thank you if you do indeed comment.

WHY HELLO THAR. I will be the first! I think I'll give the critiques in the order you wrote them.

Marius - Now, I have not played much with him personally, but I have spent hours literally howling with laughter over what I've witnessed him do and say. Not because he's a funny person per se, but because his womanizing really gets him into tight situations. Remember a certain desperate Belf?

He strikes me as having a very odd, almost masochistic personality, despite the fact that he's still living like I imagine a Blood Elf doing in a Goblin-operated town (kudos on that by the way. When I think of stereotypical Belves in a Goblin town, I get a mental image of Marius. It was probably pretty hard to style.) Anyhow. He's careless about his own personal safety, and practically throws himself in the way of anything that will injure him. Sanya and Kenarith come to mind.

I think what you might do to improve the character (just my opinion though) is give him a little more range. Showing him in a different state once in a while would give him extra dimension.

Aurel/Braindrinker - Adoraghoul. Just.... Adoraghoul. Anyhow, I like him a lot. He has his own distinct personality, interests, and friends (and even shows signs of highly developed thought sometimes), while remaining loyal to Sanya and Terriss. He's a very lively character and never ceases to entertain in some way or another. Also, I REALLY like how the Pebblestealer dialogue turned out... you know what I mean..
He's an excellent contrast to Sanya. He's actually quite sweet, and thrives on excitement, going out of his way to be friendly. And he's also forced Sanya to explore her own ideas of compassion. She's extremely, almost jealously protective of him, and would willingly massacre an entire small town to keep him safe. They went to Northrend to get him a suit of armor, for crying out loud! She may snap at him sometimes, but he is the only existing person she will do more than tolerate.

Also, the killfests are awesome. And sometimes, the nomfests.... :D

Desi Makarios - Well, I like him. He reminds me of a Buddhist sometimes. He's a very sweet person, but I do think he's too much of a background character. My recommendation is give him some problems to contend with, or send him on an EPIC ADVENTURE.

That's all for now. Sorry I couldn't add more about Desi; it's all I could think of off the top of my head.

*Cracks knuckles* I'm not all that big on introductions, so I'll just go ahead and spout what I think.

Marius. Thus far, Marius has been a very 'alive' character. What I mean by that is that he shows emotion. He hates. He loves. He's annoyed. He actually shows feeling, he's not a random bunch of facial expressions more akin to Steven Segal than anything else. Think about things for a moment, though. What defines him? What makes him shine in his own way?

I've sure had fun killing things(And eachother) alongside him, since he could easily be twisted into a 'Grawwwr, killy-slashy-stabbity-grinny' frenzy, -but-, when he puts the flirtfaise on, things just go wrong. It's like the poor guy's cursed or something... It will definitely be interesting to see how, in the restart, you aim to tone that down. Even more interesting will be the question of how you'll work to differentiate a non-flirty Marius from---

Sebastien! The adorable engineer. His innocence and clumsiness seem to go together. Also, extreme trouble navigating stairs. Now, it's not a bad thing, at all, but how does he manage to build/engineer things when he falls flat on his face every couple minutes? Anyhow. Sebastien is a surprisingly well-rounded character, and is insanely enjoyable to have around. So, yeah. Moar Seb Arepeez pleaaase. At least after the Restart, if not sooner.

Aurel. The ghoul... Well, while he is amazingly funny, he combines that with gruesome. It's not -really- my most preferred style of humor, but I guess it doesn't have to cater to everyone. On the other hand, he's great to have in combat(Remember the cliff-zombie thing). Where Aurel is, there will be chaos. Funny chaos. Just remember that sometimes, some character may not get the humor of it, and decide on attempting to obliterate him. Prepare accordingly. 'Till then, many lulz are to be had!

Kraven. Name inspires fear, and dark, gloomy DK-ness. Well, guess what? This guy's a ray of sunshine in Acherus' ebon halls. Polite, to-the-point, fun to be around, great if you want a punching bag(Like most of my characters do), great if you want the odd Renegade DK-slaying adventure, -and- he pays for people's drinks. Now, he's the kind of person you don't -expect- to ask if they can pay for your drink, or to have a conversation on procreation with, but hey, he's there for it all.

Desi. The cookie-Paladin of infinite sweetness and tender loving care... He's the kind of person you find playing Robot Unicorn Attack-Nevermind. He's adorable. He's smart, and I always end up going to him for advice. I mean, he's a father-figure undoubtably. He's a guide, both spiritual and moral. He's Obi-Wan Kenobi in Saint mode. Buuuut, as Etmosril said, give him something to have a bit of conflict over...

Now, a thunderstorm's raging outside, so I'll be quick on this one: Overall, your performance as an RP-er in my eyes is great, however, it is almost solely reactive. Take up an active stance once in a while, because, as you've seen, it's great for RP. Examples include: Seb buying his workshop. Kraven's DK hunts. Desi goes to the desert.

Give things to people so they can react. Though it doesn't feel really great when they don't do it... and I know I'm guilty of that. Just start more stuff. People are bound to show up, imbetween bouts of <Insert goblin port-town here> RP.

So yeah, Elil misses you...

Do take care!

To be honest I do have issues with some of your characters, their story and background and general personality. Most prominent has been Sebastien since pre-restart.

Aurel was a thorn in my eye at first before I RPed with you and even though it still looks a horrible elf, the way you play him I love. And it boils down to that you are very skilled in the actual act of roleplay over Wow. The way you write and use both say and emotes including the lanuguage itself used during.

To keep things clear; your one of the few roleplayers on CotH I'd actually trust with a character or idea of my own.
