The unlikely Paladin's plan.
#1
Her gauntleted fingers tapped away at folded arms. Why can't these two decide on what to do? Here in Booty Bay, outside the Salty Sailor Tavern, Karast tuned in to Lara's discussion with the Draenei Shaman. After much talk, Lara convinced Karast to join in on a hunt for a Blood Elf slaver. She had faced him before, but under circumstances she'd like to avoid again. This Blood Elf nearly took away with her life, or worse yet, into slavery. Karast didn't want to battle him and his allies again, but was compelled to do so for Lara. She wanted Lara's approval, for the dreaded old woman to turn around and pat her on the back with a warm “well done.”

The two talked, and talked, and talked and eventually Karast said she would enter the tavern for a drink. The Blood Elf left much injury to her body; a deep gash from his own blade on her chest, and a torn open ankle from his Blood Elf ally. These would heal by the end of the day, even with the help of the light. Limping into the tavern, she ignored all glares from the patron and headed straight for the counter. Nixxrax, the bartender, looked up at her as he looked at all his customers; impatiently.

“Mug of ale” Karast said bluntly, slamming several coins onto the table. The goblin took the coins, and gave her the change and prepares her drink as she looked around. The thought struck her as to how they would get the Blood elf called Shadovarn away from town. Attacking him here would be suicide, and would end in their own deaths from the bruisers in town. They would have to lead him away from Booty Bay, but how?

Taking her drink, she took her time limping up the stairs, before noticing a beautiful young Human Female in the corner. Karast looked at the girl, who stared silently at the table and her mug of water. It was this girl that sparked an idea for Karast. Slavers have to be interested in beautiful girl's right? Maybe she could get this human woman to lure Shadovarn out of Booty Bay, where Karast and her company could ambush him! Sculling a big dose of her ale, she limped over to the girl.

“Is this seat taken?” she asked the girl, who looked up very quickly, and even faster away.

“N-no” she replied. Her shakey and stuttering voice told Karast immediately she was either nervous or afraid. Raising a brow, Karast takes a seat.

“Well that's good then, because I think I need your help” Karast replied. This got the young girls attention, who looked at Karast.

“O-oh? Umm, h-how can I help?” she said, looking away after her comment, as if intimidated by Karast's gaze.

Getting to the point, Karast took a swig of her drink and said “I need your help to kill a slaver. A Blood Elf by the name of Shadovarn.”

The girl seemed shocked, shaking her head quickly. “N-no, I c-couldn't umm, k-kill someone” she said concerned, which Karast quickly interrupted.

“You won't have to, I just need you to lure him out of Booty Bay” Karast said, trialing off as she looked into her mug. Thinking of how to actually lure him out was the most difficult part. If the girl bluntly asked Shadovarn to escort her out of town, he would raise suspicions almost immediately. She sighed, before another thought struck her.

“Why are you here? May I ask? Did you come from Stormwind?” Karast asked the girl.

“U-umm, I'm waiting for s-someone, and I do come from S-Stormwind” she said softly.

Excellent Karast thought with a grin. Perhaps she could convince Shadovarn and his gang to escort her through Stranglethorn Vale, for money of course. This way, Karast and her group could ambush them along the way.

Karast began to lay down the plan to the girl, who listened silently. She seemed extremely shy, but she also seemed extremely intelligent. Nothing that Karast said slipped past her, and she nodded while looking away. Eventually, Karast leaned back and finished her mug, waiting for the girls response.

“Well?” she said after a few minutes to the girl.

“U-umm … it's umm, a very c-clever plan. B-but what if he umm, c-captures me before the suggested place?” she said, taking a polite sip from her water.

“He won't” Karast said with confidence. “I think he'd be more interested in the large sum of gold you'll offer him in exchange for escorting him”

The girl remained silent as Karast stood up. “Well, do I have your help?” Karast said, wanting the answer now.

“… R-rheina … and umm, yes, I will h-help you” The girl said, revealing her name.

With a smirk, Karast placed a bag full of gold in front of Rheina, replying “Karast” as she wandered off. Would this plan work? Will Karast and her gang finally kill Shadovarn and ruin his business? Or has someone been listening in on their conversation? *Evil laugh trails off*

((I've left this open for error, in case Shadovarn wishes to have actually heard it, either himself or from someone else =) I agree to Character Warning that Rheina may die or be enslaved ))

"Think about the rain dance for just a moment. Don't you think you'd need rain dance practice? I mean some guys don't know it, some may have forgotten. You know what I wonder? Does it rain during practice? If it doesn't how do you know you got it right? And if it does ... why bother with the dance in the first place. Hey, need a little rain? Call a practice!"
