[IC] On the Headmastr's desk.
#1
Within the Aula's tower, at the ground level, upon the Headmaster's desk, lies the lifeless body of one Singerius Narmolanya. From several cuts, a stabbed eye and one deep hole where the heart should be, blood is still dripping for a while onto the lacquered wooden desk, soaking a few likely important pieces of parchment in its wake as it then drips into several tiny puddles on the floor.

Spoiler:
(( This is where the corpse of Singe ended up after death in... stabby circumstances. I just want to figure out where it ends up so as to pursue a future Res. thread. I'm putting up this thread for IC reactions within the tower and will also use it as background for the actual Res. post.

Another note since Barlton and Singe have unspeciffied Dalaran background - he knew him as Singerius Narmolanya and knows of the Narmolanyas - a Silvermoon House residing in Elwynn dedicated to magical education and practice.))

((I'd love to, but Hebry's retired until further notice, so... Barlton should take care of this...))

Based on what Edgar Barlton did ages ago, when the corpse was set on his desk

The Headmaster was done with his daily rounds of the grounds, shuffling down the winding stairs to where he had set up his office. The Tower was silent, nothing but the scraping of his clawed-toes being heard.

As the corpse reached the bottom of the staircase, he looked over to see a gruesome sight. One of his oldest friends lay, dead, on his desk. Edgar stood there for a few moments in shock before giving a faint grimace. The deader shuffled closer to the scene, mumbling sadly to himself as he went.

How could this have happened?

Who could have done this?

These thoughts swirled around in his mind until he arrived at the front of the desk. He looked down to see he had stepped in a puddle of his friend's blood.

Singerius...

Edgar frowned deeply, tearing his gaze from the puddle to the mangled corpse of Singe. After looking around a bit, making sure the 'coast was clear', the corpse would flick a wrist. Singe would rise from the table, revealing blood smudged papers and documents of many varieties. Edgar cared little of this. He knew what must be done.

The Headmaster draped his cloak over the floating body as he shuffled out of the Tower, Singe floating silently behind.

The Narmolanyas must know.
