The Enforcers
#1
“To attack without provocation, to defend what others will not, to die for a cause that only we understand...To die for balance of truth, not of faith...this is our goal”

The Enforcers

The Enforcers are a secretive group of men and women with a common goal, to keep both the forces of ‘Good' and ‘Evil' in check. Formed as an “evener” when a group (or on some occasions a single person) gets too high and mighty (or too low and unholy) they spring into action, sabotaging and intimidating (as a last resort; attacking) until the odds are evened (They are not above killing, but will never wipe an entire group out). The Enforcers are observant, some might say paranoid...and very secretive, forcing members to keep the guilds existence secret and their “night jobs” hidden. The Enforcers live by many rules and codes and despise loose cannons in their ranks...though they never last. It is not uncommon to find an Enforcer in a fight or war he doesn't belong in.

Entering the Enforcers

One cannot just join the Enforcers, as most members are wary of spies. Every Enforcer has the right to “Invite” and most will keep watch around Azeroth for potential members. Once one is found, the Enforcer will “stalk” them for a while, the exact time varies, once they are confirmed as trust worthy they will come forward and give their target a task, if it is completed, an official will visit the soon-to-be and invite them into the Enforcer ranks. Until they are invited into the actual ranks, the watching Enforcer is forbidden to mention the guild; most will make up ruses and stories about their true intentions for the task and their observing.

The Enforcer Creed

The Enforcers live by the Enforcer Creed (seen at the top of this post) which can, at first, confuse most. It was created long before the Enforcer's, passed down as a way of life, those who follow this creed generally don't believe in faith and gods, in good or evil and only believe that everyone is capable of everything, be it lawful or otherwise.

The Ranks

There is not really a ranking structure present in the Enforcers, rather there is only the initiates (who are not actually –members- of the guild), Enforcers themselves and the “Officials” who act as a council of leadership. There is no single leader, though the “Decider” (a title given to a single official every time the current Decider dies) is the one who decides who to cut down and who to aid, the Decider can also choose and remove the other Officials, making him a sort of dark-pope.

Allegiance with others

The Enforcers will never ally with another faction or guild, though they have in rare cases posed as members of an organization to aid (or hinder) it. Those that know about the Enforcers are generally avoided by its members and those same people are met with hostility if they continue to pester the Enforcers.

Uniform

Enforcers are free to wear whatever they want, as it helps them keep the whole “Casual” thing going. All Enforcers are given a black mask, used when meeting with other members as this, along with a two-nod greeting, proves the wearer is a member. Officials do not wear masks, instead they use a tabard with the guild symbol or, when in public places, they will wear a necklace with the same symbol.

What races and classes can become Enforcers?

Though every race is acceptable, some Enforcers are picky or racist. Generally it is a mixed guild though the more savage races are watched carefully for some time after initiation. Classes are the same, even warlocks can become Enforcers. Those who join the Enforcers are forced to cut all ties with other guilds and factions; this includes the Alliance and Horde.

What do Enforcers actually do?

Enforcers are not a group of criminals, not a goody two shoes guild with a secret evil agenda, and by the light are they not a group of militia. They are simply that, Enforcers. Enforcers must always have their ears to the ground, picking up information and spreading it through the guild, they must stay active, alert and keep their mouth shut about what they do. Enforcers also act as soldiers, intimidators, saboteurs and on some occasions killers...they must be ready to take on some of the strongest people in Azeroth in order to keep “Balance”.

Other Facts

- Enforcers are –not- at war with any of the targeted guilds or people, they won't even notice them once they have completed their mission.

- Enforcers do not target at random, they only target those that may become too big for their own good, or are causing too much chaos or trouble.

- They are not scared of the Horde and Alliance, they see both sides in a stalemate and so do not bother with either.

- The older Enforcer's refer to most people as “Mac” no matter what gender, they also refer to guards as “Big Hitters” and Forsaken as “T.D.G” (Tall, Dark and Gruesome...and yes, they call the short ones this as well). The exact reason for the Enforcer slangs creation varies, most just get used to it.
